Well, the Toonami people don't seem to be very interested in reairing DBZ. They've made comments about wanting to move forward and that they don't want to become a nostalgia block. Honestly, Z has aired more than enough and Toonami is quickly becoming the "air already popular anime" block ...

The characters look okay (all though, there's a certain plainness to them that just doesn't look right), but the landscapes and backgrounds still look bad. At any rate, they at least look better than the Orange Bricks.

Maybe if you're wearing sunglasses and squint your eyes. But, even if you prefer the much brighter colors, I don't know how you can argue that completely hammering out the grain is a good thing. The art looks so plain without grain, not to even touch upon the destruction of detail in the backgrounds...

Monster was also entirely dubbed, aired, and released digitally (dub only, now unavailable), but Viz never released more than one DVD volume for some reason. I might pick it up when it's $20 (or less) for the Battle of Gods content. Though, it's a shame the English dubbing improves while the game quality remains mediocre.

The Orange Bricks serve their purpose if we can't have the Level sets. The bricks aren't good per say, but neither are these new sets. I'd rather not see anything come out if this is the best FUNimation can produce [within their budget], personally.

So, FUNimation's marketing people realized the footage looked like ass and kept it out of the commercial as much as possible. Buy it because of the warm feelings!

Are we really still getting replacement music? I just lost any interest I had in this game.

I bought the first volume of Kai in stores and it ended up costing almost twice as much as it would have online. I don't even bother with that anymore. It's been like that with the Dragon Ball seasons too. I picked up a couple for somewhere around $40-50 each a few years ago when they were around $2...

But surely if they made money off the Dragon Boxes then we would have gotten more than just the Z TV series.

It was intended to be a mainstream release. But the casual fans wouldn't have paid that much per episode. What I'm saying is, FUNimation could have skipped from the Orange Bricks directly to these remastered Blu-Ray seasons, and they would have made more money doing that.

Don't compare the Level sets to the Orange Bricks.
