I'm not defending Yamamoto, but you'd be surprised how many other composers and arrangers in Japan have ripped off others.

By far the most annoying example of this was in episodes 55 and 56 of Dragon Ball. I had to lower the audio delay in VLC to -450 just to get it right.

A good chunk of the clean 2nd opening can be seen in the two Dragon Ball PSAs, and in the Harmony Gold dub opening of the combined DB Movies 1 & 3.
