You know our sun is too small to go supernova, right? It can only happen to much more massive stars. The energy of a supernova is at minimum around 1000 times more than the sun exploding.

I think Toriyama said in an interview that there was just enough air in the upper atmosphere for both Goku and Beerus to breathe.

No idea if Whis needs to breathe, though...

I'm pretty sure that Marvel/DC crossovers aren't canon. Either way, it hardly matters as people still argue Superman vs. Thor even though there was a crossover and they fought and Superman won. So in my opinion there's never a clear 'answer' to these kinds of hypothetical fights anyway.
