Does it?

Most people as in people in general in real life, or Dragon Ball fans in real life? I think a significant amount of Dragon Ball fans are well aware of DBZA. I'd dare say the majority.

Do you think its viewership is reflected in Youtube comment sections?
To some extant, yes. I'm sure it's not a 1:1 correlation, but anything that's popular is gonna have a higher chance of being referenced in general youtube comments.

Its a pretty good gauge seeing that youtube is one of the biggest and most viewed media platforms. Its no different than looking at viewership on a particular TV channel.

If TFS is needed to keep Dragon Ball relevant (It isnt by the way) then Dragon Ball's fanbase is pathetic.

Re: Black history month: Who is your favorite black DB character?

Staff Officer Black is the only major black character that comes to mind. Though I've said before that Mr. Satan kind of looks mixed black/white to me (though he also looks like he could be middle eastern). I don't think Mr. Popo is human, so I don't think he counts. Heles is Egyptian-based. She cou...

Well a black VA portrays Dyspo, who looks like Beerus.

Re: How come no one remembers the Martial Art Tournament fighters in DBZ?

In-universe, I'm going with the popularity of the tournament. After the 23rd TB there's a big difference in attention received: there's camera's, huge arena, even a junior division is added. This makes sense. It seems like during classic Dragon Ball, martial arts tournaments may have had a more nic...

Well we're still missing orange and purple. Purple should probably be reserved to a Saiyan who is also a God of Destruction.

Re: How is Hell able to contain these increasingly strong villains?

The answer is simple. The dead can't escape the afterlife. Because they're dead. It doesn't matter how strong they are. As for the cocoon binding the likes of Frieza, I'm pretty sure that goes beyond sheer power as well. I've always interpreted the cocoon as some form of supernatural binding. It bin...

I dunno how likely it is, but there's still the idea of combining the higher Super Saiyan forms with SSJG. And there's still the idea of combining any of the Super Saiyan forms with Ultra Instinct.

Re: How Much Of A Difference Would Doubling Goku & Piccolo's Power Have Against Raditz?

Weren’t those battle powers misreadings in the first place? Their actual battle powers were much higher than that, with Goku’s kamehameha nearing 1,000. They weren't misreadings. They simply weren't powered up. Scouters rely on reading active power output where as ki sensing can reveal potential po...

When Beerus is introduced a slight tap on SSJ3's Goku's shoulder was enough to knock him down to the ground completely immobile.
A light tap? Goku was launched downward and crashed into the ground.

Because, like in real life, people can hold back their strength. What's so difficult to understand about that?

Re: Would Krillin be able to ride the Flying Nimbius as an adult?

No, his desire for 18 nearly got everybody killed. Plus there was that pageant in the Android 13 movie. That was just poor judgement and decision making more than anything. It's similar to Goku giving Cell a senzu bean. As for the Nimbius cloud even Launch was able to ride the cloud. I'd imagine if...

Re: Westerners love to claim Asian characters.

We can tell that Krillin, Yamcha and Tenshinhan are supposed to be Asians and the same applies to Goku, regardless of him being an alien or human. He doesn't look Asian to you ? Doesn't matter, everything points to him being an Asian character. I've said a million times he looks ambiguous. Being an...

Now see, I just don't get this line of thinking. That because he's based on a predominantly white sport, he must be white. Rather than just looking at the character's physical appearance.

Re: Westerners love to claim Asian characters.

Goku is based on Jackie Chan. It's even more obvious when you look at his prototype designs and predecessors - I believe he was pressured by Torishima to give him the crazy hair. Toriyama has even said he can't picture anybody other than Young Jackie Chan playing Goku in a movie. Ehh, I mean he doe...

Re: Westerners love to claim Asian characters.

Yes, stories do evolve. In this case, the Asian human boy Son Goku turned out to be an Asian looking alien who came from a homogenous alien race based on Asians. Except we can't tell if he looks Asian due to the style of the art. The reason why you're so adamant on Saiyans being their own ethnicity...

Wrong in the sense of racism, white supremacy, and appropriation. There's nothing racist, or white supremacist about it. Successful for whom? The United States of America? The film's White star Al Pacino? ..... sure. The writer is an individual, yes, but not *only* an individual. They are both an i...
