A member here, his name was SSVegetto got banned around May 2011 by Kaboom. That guy was the worst. He was the reason the first US Dragon Box announcement thread got locked, from what I recall. He was just a jerk. He got banned for calling the admins Nazis and some other garbage like that. In fact, it's actually in the Website discussion sub-forum. So you can see his final post.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

No, he'd never say that. It was probably his evil twin brother 'VegerotEX' wreaking havoc. >_<

All hail Room 29.

I don't even remember if I was a member of it back then. I just remember all the fun.

Ah! I just recently stumbled upon the whole Kami Sama ordeal. I hope that after nearly 10 years that website has better content, since it's still active.
I'm also glad Dr. Machismo was banned, and I find it funny that some people have been temporarily banned since 2004... up until now.
For the amount of members in this forum, only a very small portion have been banned. That reflects very good on the image of this forum I think, congratulations to all of us for creating such a welcoming and intelligent community! <3

Speaking of Dr. Machismo, he's also registered on Neoseeker, and he has a different avatar there, so i knew he registered here just to troll...

Nothing good can ever come out of anybody with a Justin Bieber avatar.
Sorry for the bump, just throught this was funny to share :)

Not to play mod or anything, but does this thread really have a purpose that fits in with established community goals? I get that there's this strange fascination with discussing bans, but I can't see much reason for it other than... I'unno. Negative... ness. O_o

Yeah, some people are dicks. They get banned. Whoopdee-freakin'-do.

I guess it depends how far back the discussion of bans go. Laughing at the more absurd ones isn't much different from the 'funny but dumb things' thread but I do see your point.

I think my annoyance at Dr. Machismo and my publicising of his actions certainly brought the thread into a more serious and negative realm which I was rightly 'told off' for. I don't think the initial thread's goal was anything other than just a casual way to giggle at passing members and to reinforce the type of people we expect on this forum.

I'm not sure the community has ever been so highbrow as to avoid silly little jabs at past members who are unlikely to ever view this forum again.

If names were removed and messages were only allowed then I'm sure it'd be a non-issue. Heck, I'm fairly sure similar things have been done on the podcast.

Cmon, the bardock user was funny as hell. Some of those early 2004 banned members are just so funny!

I'm not trying to discourage folks from having fun. Absolutely not. I guess I'm just saying that there's better, more positive ways to have fun at a place like Kanzenshuu than to poke at rancid old dog turds with a stick and talk about how they stink.

But hey, to each his own. ^_^;

Sometimes one has to go there, down into the abyss, just to see what it is like, even if it is for a second ;)

Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. R.I.P. Mighty

I don't know if this is allowed but here is his last words before being banned.
Herms wrote:You know, I think people are being too hard on freezamite. Certainly, I think it's silly to say that the guidebooks "misunderstood the whole manga from top to bottom", since if anything their major fault is devoting most of their space to painfully obvious statements like "Goku is a Saiyan" or "Freeza is really strong". And the function of battle power numbers in the series is to a) sound impressive and b) mislead the bad guys who rely on them. They were never meant to form a particularly coherent system.

But I don't want people who dislike the battle powers given in the guide books to be treated as irredeemable heretics, to be harassed simply for stating their views. It's not going to get us anywhere.

Question for Vegetto and Hujio. If a banned member from years ago who was most likely pretty young when they joined insisted they had matured and could fit in with the community would you consider giving them a second chance?

More importantly, just how temporary are those temporary bans from 2004? :P
New to the forum? Just want to know when you'll hit your next posting rank? Ever wondered why some users have special titles, and what they mean? The answers to all these questions and more are waiting for you in the Kanzenshuu Member Hierarchy Guide!!

It's unlikely that users banned 10 years ago will still be using the same IP address they were back then, so whilst their old account will still be banned, there's nothing stopping them making a new one.

That goes for any banned persons, really.

Yeah I've heard tales of people who were once immature brats who got banned way back in the day...but years later, when they had matured, made another account and went on to become respected and productive members of the community.

Dunno who it is, though...

ME. Except for the "went away and came back later with a different account" part. Also the "matured" and "respected" parts.

Anyway, yes, that's happened. Obviously something like creating a new username right away to dodge a ban and keep behaving the exact same way isn't tolerated. But sometimes banned members come back after a few months or so and are quite obviously better for having taken a "break," so to speak, so they're allowed to stay. I can think of at least one member who pulled it off fairly recently.

I was wondering, do we have any cases with a user using 2 different accounts, and he is having a conversion with himself?

Sock-puppetry?

As I recall, one person got banned years back, only for "someone else" to come in soon after typing in the same exact way badmouthing people for banning his "friend". It's years and years ago at this point though, so I don't remember the specifics.

I've suspected a few others over the years, but never looked into it. Do keep in mind that admins can see your IP address, which shouldn't be exactly the same as anyone else's unless you live with them.
