That, and it takes a lot of thought to consider what button your opponent might press next. I'm not talking about playing against the CPU (who is guilty of spamming it) here, I'm talking about with other people.
In other words: It required no skill, because it was totally based on lucksacking. This is my point. And it was still incredibly moronic because you have to nearly kill yourself to even start the Dragon Rush, and a simple combo cancel wields damage anywhere from being equivalent to 5x greater. It didn't add anything to the gameplay, besides flash.

Didn't Kame Sen'nin say something like that to Tenshinhan at the 22nd Tenka'ichi Budōkai?

New trailer:
Shows off a couple of scenes from the new special.
Confirms Zangya, Bojack, Bojack (Transformed), and Hatchiyack (that specific spelling in English).
Also confirms OVER 100 characters in the game, so 101 by definition, or else they are lying.
New snow stage (Glacier? Perhaps Muscle Tower? Dunno.) as well as Dark Planet stage from PtEtSS.
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

Great trailer! I think this game will be the best of the series. Do we know yet the language streams and subtitles available for the special?

Seems we have a glacier stage with a ship in it and Teen Gohan(Base) confirmed.

I don't think anybody wasn't expecting Cell-era Gohan.
As for the trailer? Nice to see some of that PtEtSS footage.
It's nothing we haven't seen before, and it's put together the same way the last trailer was. Never cared much for Bojack, but Zangya?
Cool, seriously I do like Zangya, she needs more game exposure.

The special/OVA remake was said only to be watchable through Raging Blast 2. It most likely will not be streamed online. As for the languages, FUNimation will give it a dub and we assume that an English subtitled version will be on the game aswell. But nothing has been 100% confirmed yet.

Ah, yes! You're right!

Roshi - "Hahaha...Luck is part of one's strength, you know."

Yes, luck is the whole point of it. It gives someone who doesn't have much "skill" at least a small chance of winning. And yes, there's a huge risk to starting it. If you miss the first turn, it could end up getting you a K.O., and if you can't even start it, it leaves you wide open. Putting it all on the line, and wishing on pure luck to pull you through...isn't that a theme of the Shonen genre anyway?

(Also...about it adding flash...DBZ's games are about 90% flash)

You may as well get it. Even if Raging Blast 3 will have improved/tweaked gameplay, what're the odds it'll have a fully animated 30 minute feature?
Even if it did, it wouldn't be the same as this one, giving each their individual entertainment value. You'll be getting your money's worth.

Over a hundred chracters now huh? So that should be about what? A good thirty more characters being added from RB1 I'm imaging one hundred three characters in this game.

So far we have
1.Tullece
2.Janemba
3.Dabra
4.Mirai Gohan
5.Nail
6.Paikuhan
7.Zangya
8.Bojack
9.Most likely #13
10.Most likely Coola
11.Hatchiyack(never before playable.)

Yikes so that means we still have 19 more characters to go!! But I could be wrong because I didnt count transformations.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Is the video file really that huge? I waited for the whole thing to load and it still played all jerkily. :(
My laptop isn't old by any means either, it's typically pretty good with big files.

The fact that it had a delay in pausing at any time due to file size (or connection?) made it near-impossible for me to make screenshots.

Still excited for the special and disinterested in the game.

Am I alone in thinking the new art style for the special looks too "cartoon-ish", not so well colored, and lacking when it comes to details?

I think the AD is Naoki Tate (a veteran DB animator) who is known for his softer art style to get the most fluid looking animation. He also did Heya!! Son Gokû and Friends Return. Tate gets a lot of flack from One Piece fans, but there is no doubt his fights scenes tend to be very strong.

Ah, nice trailer, and I liked the footage. I hope Funi dubs this...

...unless they use the Z Kai cast. Then I won't care about RB2 once again.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I thought we already established that. That's why it's terrible; Because a player's skill is thrown out the window for a silly game of chance that's completely inefficient. Instead of encouraging players to improve their skills, it instead encourages them to waste their ki and open themselves up to an ass-whupping (since, y'know, no decent player ever falls for it), for what may or may not be...half a bar's worth of damage. It's an extremely underwhelming aspect of the gameplay, no matter how it's sugarcoated.
Big Momma wrote:(Also...about it adding flash...DBZ's games are about 90% flash)
Yeah, I know. Again, that's the point. Flash has nothing to do with gameplay, which I thought was what we were discussing.

Why wouldn't they use their current cast?
