You can't say always. H'es drawn Bluma as a blonde before. But there are far, FAR more examples of Toriyama coloring Trunks and Bluma with purple hair than there are with blue. It's always the same shade of purple, but it's usually more in that spectrum,

Sorry if I'm being an ignorant, but are you guys only following the news on the game as Dragon Ball fans or is there a way to actually play it outside of Japan?

The first option, tere's no way to play it outside of Japan arcade machines.

You can play it on the 3DS games, even though they are ports.

To be fair, Future Trunks has light purple hair, GT Trunks has fuller purple hair and Time Patrol Trunks has dark purple hair, so not even the shade of purple has been set in stone.

It already has 6 different versions of Gohan so why not? What I can't believe is that there are 6 different versions of Trunks and they managed to miss the 13 year old version from the future. You know, the one that actually fought alongside Gohan, instead of Mister "my jacket is slightly brighter so that warrants a new iteration" Trunks.

To be fair, that slightly brighter jacket version of Trunks known as "Trunks: Future" now includes the new design used for the Goku Black material, so it's not really worth complaining about anymore.

The rest of your point still stands, though with Super Heroes announced, I doubt they intend on letting the brand die any time soon. They probably want to continue to milk the franchise for characters for another 5 years, so I imagine it's only a matter of time.

I didn't know this new Trunks fell under Trunks: Future, I assumed it was a brand new one.

And yes, I'm expecting them to eventually cover the missing characters, but with the way new characters have been pumped out lately, that might take a long time. We've got Super, Fusion and Xenoverse and we've been seeing maybe 1 or 2 old characters per set nowadays. There are quite a few old small arcs to cover still.

BTW, I downloaded the HD trailer and poured through it frame by frame to grab the best shots I could of the mysterious character next to Towa.

It doesn't inherently look like anyone we've already had in the franchise (though he kinda looks like Nene from Blue Dragon from what we can see). That pattern on his clothing should be very familiar though, as it's basically the same as the one Demigra sports. So, what do we think? New, similar character to Demigra, or is it an elderly Demigra or something?

Why not Miira and Demigra are merged in the ultimate makai being ?
