It looks different; caught my eye...but still, Goku with his regular hair/eye color, but ssj-style hair reminds me too much of Vegeta.

I already asked about this in the translation thread, it's nothing more than an artistic choice for the card. The gameplay screens of when the card is in use still features Goku with normal hair, but the ability of the card is new: http://www.carddas.com/dbh/news/

New Card Action - "Super-Awakening Change"

"Whenever your Card Actions are Successful/Ultra Successful, you may activate the form-changing mechanic, "Super-Awakening Change."

In the example shown, when Goku's Kamehame-ha Card Action is performed Successfully, he can become a Super Saiyan, but when his Card Action is performed Ultra Successfully, he can become a Super Saiyan 2.

It's similar to the Awakening mechanic in the Duel Masters Trading Card Game.

Yeah but if you look at it properly, they are presenting it as a card you can use to transform into either Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 depending on conditions, starting from base. The way they are putting it, it doesn't look like the card itself is a transformation.

You're starting an unsubstantiated rumor, one akin to the quality of the DB Wiki. The card and site say nothing about BEING a transformation, but that it ALLOWS a transformation. If it were Goku with his potential unlocked, you would think he would transform from base into the "Ultimate" form, but the card allows BASE Goku to transform into either SS or SS2 depending on the success of your actions. This is why the card itself has a question mark in the circle meant to show what can be transformed into, because you can't very well show a full circle of two forms. The decision to use the black haired Super Saiyan-like form from Goku versus the Ginyu Force in Hell is likely a way to avoid showing just what Goku can transform into as well, since you can't really put SS and SS2 in a single image.
