I've Began a Let's Play of DBZ Legend of the Super Saiyan...
...With the intention of making it the best LP out of all of them. I've recorded the very first Episode here...

If you happen to be a fan of this game, it would be great if you could tell me what you think. I want to make this great!

I don't believe you can do it, I've never been able to beat this game, even after grinding for hours the fake Raditz was still able to toss me around.
I'll check it out, my username is TinnicleBashage.

Ah, it's good to see LotSS get some love. In spite of its flaws (ridiculous encounter rate and grinding, for example), I always thought it has a lot of really cool design quirks. We should get a remake of this!

For the record, despite what you often see, the game's Japanese title is Super Saiya Densetsu. So "Saiya" without the "jin", meaning in English it'd be "Super Saiya Legend".

Re: I've Began a Let's Play of DBZ Legend of the Super Saiya
I always had problems with the mini game training on Kaio Sama's planet. Just for once I'd love to complete it first time so I can get Goku back to Earth early. I've read & heard explanation after explanation on how to do it, but it just never works for me. I normally stop playing around here.
Last time I tried it I was using a Naki Gamesaver to save & reload that bit over & over again. I tried it literally 60 odd times before giving up & putting the game away again. Very frustrating...
Nice video. I wasn't aware that if you restored your health when at 5HP or below you would get such a significant BP boost. Thanks for that one.

I see. By the way, you know I have a second Episode up, right? That one explains how to get through King Kai's training. Have you watched that?

Pretty good first episode! Thanks for skipping over the bajillion random battles. A few things, though. Zenkai, pronounced like "King Kai," not Zenki. The defense values are the Kanji for the numbers 1-5, then the strongest is the Z. 一is 1, 二 is 2, 三 is 3, 四 is 4, 五 is 5.

Am I the only one who thought DBZ Legend of the Super Saiyan was a ridiculously difficult game? Like LOTR: Return of the Ring difficult.

No it's not. Sorry I haven't updated this thread in a while, but, I'm gonna release my next Episode soon.
EDIT: By the way, I'm using a new computer, so I have to play all the way up to the point I was at last. So, I have a question. Would you prefer the best translation that this game has, or would you rather I stick with the translation I have now? The one I'm using isn't as good, but it's font is more pleasing on the eyes (in my opinion) and it has one particularly hilarious line that I'd really like to showcase. As for the font, here's the one I used for the first few Episodes...

Re: I've Began a Let's Play of DBZ Legend of the Super Saiya
Sharing the spot with Attack of the Saiyans, I'd say this is the best DBZ RPG ever.
Good to see it getting some love. I used to love to grind for a while and then annihilate all the big boys like they were nothing. Finished the game several times over the years to see the different endings and always maxed all characters with ki training, lvl cap at 48 and Guru/Kaio items in battle to raise BP. With even Chiaoutzu well over 1.000.000 nobody, but Frieza is a threat.

Alright guys, I've recorded the next episode already. Now, I just have to add the commentary. I think you guys are going to really enjoy this next one, just watch how badly I humiliate this game!

I've never played the game, but I image SS Vegeta is at least the same class of threat as Freeza. lolTenshinhan-san wrote:nobody, but Freeza is a threat.

Not really, just because you can actually prevent the SSJ Vegeta fight if you don't want to fight him.I've never played the game, but I image SS Vegeta is at least the same class of threat as Freeza. lol

In fact, he is a lot stronger then Frieza. I believe in the game Frieza's power lvl is 3 million (in his final form) and SSJ Vegeta is 6 million.
Fighting SSJ Vegeta is pretty much a choice though, while Frieza is a necessity.
