It's still not widely known yet, I think.

:? Yeah. I'd have to agree with you there. Hopefully this all doesn't turn out too disappointing though. Not many people know yet that it's probably a fake rumor. :(

Hey, it is still not confirmed if it is false or not.

Also, you forgot something: the info, false or not, is here too: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2012/05/18/sp ... this-year/

What's important to note is that I very consciously and specifically worded the update to say "These sites are reporting this information" and not "This information has been confirmed".

Subtle, but incredibly professional difference if I do say so myself and I just did thank you very much the tip jar is over there and it's muchly appreciated.

Yep, it's neither real or fake, solely unknown, still. Be patient.

Why hasn't Namdai revived "Battle Stadium D.O.N"? It has Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto characters all in it, it'd be so frickin' awesome to play with the D.O.N's all over again this time in HD/upscaled and online while chatting.

Well, it's likely to not happen, if it were, then Super Dragon Ball Z should do too.

It's just my fan-wish.

At this point, it's looking to be as much an "unknown possibility" as is Super Dragon Ball Z HD Remix Plus Alpha 3D Edition developed by Shigeru Miyamoto in collaboration with Crafts & Meister.

I just said it on the Internet, so it must be a possibility! Can't rule it out yet! Hasn't been revealed yet, so it's still possible! Any day now!

(It's about time we write this off, methinks...)

Hundreds of famous French, Spanish and English video game websites have announced the game. So why has this info spread that quickly only in one day, on May 18, 2012.

Because Siliconera and Andriasang picked it up. No-one else is sourcing anything or anyone else, are they? Near as I can tell, Andriasang was the first to run it.

They made the wrong call in posting it without doing any due diligence, and fandom paid for it.

I really wish Bandai Namco would say something about this by now. Just wait when all of the Youtube underage kids are going to be so upset that this game was proven to be false  . But hey, they are still likely going to think that it's real anyways nevertheless.

I'm imagining people from Namco Bandai looking at these big sites talking about the announcement and them going "Wait....what?! Did we do that? Are we doing that? *turns to Spike* Are you people doing that?"

So the YouTube Video was from this month's V-Jump issue, afterall? I could have guessed so from all these Yu-Gi-Oh ZeXal pages covering Shark vs IV, a duel that hasn't happened yet in the anime.

I guess Sparking! Omega died faster than we'd all thought.

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Famitsu never reported this info. I don't know where that came from. AndriaSang is generally a good source for information, however, Anoop (the site's writer) simply reads Japanese blogs and translates their posts into English. That runs into the problem of getting false information. Sparking! Omega isn't the first case of this happening. Siliconera often times does the same.

Weren't there supposed to be released 3 games this year?
1) Dragon Ball Z for Kinect
2) Dragon Ball (3DS) (?)
3) ???
For my sanity, please stop posting this "3 games in 2012" nonsense. We're half way through 2012 and only a single game has been announced. It will break franchise tradition to have an additional 2 games announced and released within the last six months of the year. So unless they're something very lazy like BT1-3 HD Collection, and some other port it looks highly unlikely there will be 3 games released this year.
LeprikanGT wrote:So is that a weekly or monthly magazine? Have they always used subscriptions to announce games or have they thorwn something up on a JP website before to announce something?
V-JUMP is a monthly magazine. V-JUMP has almost always released their info first in the actual issue.

You think this is bad? You should check out how quickly the various well trusted internet sites (Kotaku, IGN, Siliconera, etc.) posted up the announcement of Bloody Roar 5. Despite the fact that their source was a Twitter account. An alternate Twitter account for a company that had been shut down the year prior. Huge surprise when the Twitter account came out and said they were fans of the franchise hoping to get attention, and that the game didn't really exist. You can imagine how heartbroken fans of a franchise that have been waiting since 2003 to get a new iteration felt. Yeah, fact checking in online video game journalism doesn't exist. It's get it done as quick as possible to get hits.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I read about that Bloody Roar announcement on SRK.com and fell for it. Too bad, the old ones looks interesting...

Man rumors like these die hard. It's kinda exciting though in it's own right to find out out whether it's fake or not. The new game will come eventually anyway. This Nostal dude on deviantart has had contact with the developers and they more or less confirmed they are working on a new game besides the kinect one. But yeah I doubt it's this Omega game.

Ah! That explains what the term "flying getters" means, then. I feel ashamed that I have been following AS all this time and never knew that.

These could be good news. I hope they will do a good game this time.
