"Not quite dead" is the roundest way to put it; you can find people sometimes if you willing to wait. If its pulling any numbers on any platform that's not the PS4 at this point I would be surprised.

one thing i dont understand is, xenoverse sold very well , so why dont they expand on the game with dlc's etc.?
and now christmas and no christmas "specials" or anything like that.

Not long enough. Unless they immediately began developing a sequel after the first game is finished it wont be long enough. I would rather them release a sequel in 2017 to further add to dev time and to give us a higher chance of seeing more stuff from U6. We can get Champa, Vados, and the U6 fighters.
Xenoverse scans show up last May and the game came out February 2015. So XV2 could be announce by March-May 2016 and be out by February 2017. Dimps probably has access to stuff from Super so that they can work on them in the next game.

In all likelihood that's what happened, DLC is done by small teams, not the entire game's team.

Xenoverse 2 might be announced this year, but that isn't proof of it.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
I'm not much of a gamer, but I may actually get the Xenoverse game for Xbox 1. I read reviews online, and it has its ups and downs. But I would like someone's opinion on here who has played the game.
The main thing that is enticing to me is the single player mode. Story sounds interesting.

I got Xenoverse on Xbox 360 because, I didn't have the Xbox One at that time.
I feel like X2 will be Next-Gen only, so I'm glad I have the Xbox One.

Yeah, I think people may the jumping the gun a bit.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.
