Nah, 'GAME' is a UK retailer.

No worries. I see this is also your first post. Congrats. No need to use it on me though, lol.

...That is somewhat annoying though, but oh well. At least the game wasn't very expensive. Not the end of the world, really. I think I also heard from a Nintendo twitter account that pre-ordering on the Nintendo eShop also got you Butouden 2. About the game itself... pretty fun! I think the matches could do with more health, they're over too quick xD. And damn, the main scenario really feels like an obligation more than anything else.

GAME is a UK retailer so anyone ordering from Amazon.com will still get the bonuses. It's just Amazon's UK site which has all the complaints, sorry for not being clearer with my first post!

I've been meaning to register to this forum for some quite some time but I never got round to it; once I saw your post though and the confusion with the pre-orders from Amazon UK I finally decided to sign up to add to the discussion. I wish I could have helped sooner though, but like I said I only noticed the change last minute. :(

The Z Story mode does seem to be only there so we can have our usual recap of the Saiyan-Buu arcs! ^.^; Luckily it's fun to play and it helps to get a little practice in for when you unlock Adventure Mode, as that mode seems to be the main campaign due to it's somewhat new story (and it's where I've spent the most of my time on the game).

So far I've only played it for a couple of hours but I'm enjoying it so far. Hopefully I can get a few more hours in by the end of this weekend.

UPDATE: SSGSS Goku is a code for the western releases, not an unlock with the demo.

I believe this is for the US release, someone check if it works with the EU versions(I feel like it does but don't quote me on that).

Just tried it with my UK copy and it worked, thanks! I was wondering on how they were going to release him as there's no option to link with the demo in the Extras menu.

The codes from the video are now in it's description so it's easier to input (I attempted to do it by listening to the video, but quite embarrassingly I couldn't keep up with it!). I was also tempted to copy/paste the code here, but I'm guessing that it wouldn't be fair to the uploader if I take away from his view count. ^.^;

That's good to hear  I'm debating whether I want to try it when I get the game tomorrow here in the US, because I feel like I'm cheating getting all these cool character codes  Especially considering SSGSS's strength in this game.
And yeah, that's the exact same reason I didn't copy and paste from his description.

I wish Adventure Mode didn't have that clumsily designed mission-based structure and ranking system, though.

Instead of giving you more substantial and meaty fights that the main story mode couldn't offer, you're essentially put into more underwhelming and short 1 vs 1 matches (with some multi-battles much later down the line), only with obnoxious hoop jumping involved. You're relegated to repeatedly using certain set ups, equipment, and methods to earn that highest rank and unlock those Assists as quick and clean as possible (e.g. opening the fight with a cheap assist like Meta Cooler, charge up while it acts as a wall for you, use an ultimate, then quickly get a perfect finish). You're not going through this mode to enjoy actual fights, it's just more repetitive chores to deal with. The character interactions and ridiculous story would be way more satisfying if the experience actually revolved around just enjoying cool and lengthy team matches.

Ultimately, the true fun of the game is Battle Mode, where you have to take it upon yourself to create your own big fights and match ups without any of the irritating and redundant nonsense that weighed down the other modes.

I kind of liked the missions attached to story mode myself Captain Sora. But I definitely agree with you on the way too harsh ranking system. You could always just run through it once for fun not caring about rank, then go back to s rank the missions.

The glaring flaw with that is you're still stuck with mostly short and unsatisfying fights, even if you choose to ignore all of it the first time around. It's just so weird how they developed a somewhat enjoyable combat system, and yet opted to present it in such a botched and not fully realized fashion in the two story modes this game has.

yes the fights are definitely short, like they can easily last under 10 seconds. Would have been a good option to have higher health in story mode at least I agree.

So...is the Super Butoden download code an issue for anyone in the States? Mine seems to be missing somewhere in the ether and evidently Amazon doesn't have a clue on what I'm talking about. :(

Also...first post in months. I'm a terrible member of this community! :'(

Good to know. Anything about the code is nowhere to be found on Amazon's website now and it's not in any of my confirmation emails so I really had no idea about it. I've been on the phone with them today and they said it was supposed to be in the box. I guess I'll proceed to enjoy Extreme Butoden then!

Is there anything I need to know regarding the support characters when picking up my Gamestop pre order? I really want my vegito, garlic Jr, and meta cooler! :p

Might want to check your e-mail again, I just received my code for Super Butoden 2 and was able to download the game. It's still completely untranslated, unfortunately (even the 3DS menus), but still cool to have all the same!

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Anybody have any luck unlocking characters with codes in the US version? I've snagged a few by randomly pressing stuff. I might have got Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta with the Konami Code, but I pressed so many things it's hard to say. Somehow I got Yamu by whacking the buttons like a monkey.

EDIT: I don't seem to have unlocked anything else, but the game made a blast sound effect. Unsure if this is some sort of code or if the game is upset at me for trying to get stuff without actually knowing the codes.

So are codes the only way to unlock like...everyone, or do you unlock certain people just through gameplay?

I know their translations aren't always 100% right, but is this legit? If so, that'd be cool. Online would be nice (and is that implying playable SSJ4s).

Most likely a majority of the assists are unlocked in game. There's not a lot of assists with codes in comparison to the rest of the assists.
