Guys, never use Ultra Fusion online unless it's after someone desperate. I had SSJ on, turned the tide with avenger/Light Stick, and they foolishly used Ultra fusion to try and turn the tied once it became 1 on 1. I survived of course, and he just lined everyone up for me so I could use Ultra fusion while everyone on his team was super weak. Never use Ultra Fusion, it's a waste of time in most cases.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Did a search and couldn't find anything, so quick question ...
With the new update did they really make it so rifts get completely reset after you open them? Whether A, S, or G rank rifts. Typically, if I was farming for SSJBlue Vegeta (which I still am), if I didn't get him I'd flee and still have two rifts. Do another battle to earn a third and then open up all three again. This seems to have changed.
If it has, man ... that would stink. Really love the game, but the RNG on some characters is really ridiculous, having to re-farm rifts over and over just to get the rank you're looking for is just too tedious for me.
Luckily I at least have SSJBlue Goku, I guess. Will probably not really bother trying to farm the rest of the characters if this is the case and just finish all the post game stuff.

Yeah. Write letters and call customer service and harass them. People that have NOTHING TO DO with how things get localized and done by whoever does that. I'm betting it was Treehouse that had some part in this. But no. I can't stand by this. You are harassing people that have no control or power over this and it disgusts me. Social media outlets for these companies aren't just for one-direction promotion, they're an avenue for feedback as well. If enough people interact with them about a single subject, it will get passed along and reach the eyes and ears of people who matter more. Plus, doing things like writing letters and making phone calls bypasses those outer layers of Twitter-user employees completely and is much more direct (and trust me, those same methods are being directed towards Nintendo too along with Bamco).ShadowDude112 wrote:Yeah. Outcry and campaigns from fans got us the standard-model New 3DS in America despite Nintendo's initial bass-ackwards "business decisions." It got us some localized Dragon Quest games in the US despite the nitwits at Square-Enix thinking Dragon Ball's art style would somehow be a turn-off to Western folks. It can get Dragon Ball Fusions de-censored too, if enough people actually start caring enough to demand it.
Frankly, I'm the one who's disgusted that so many other people don't seem to care about being treated like the idiotic children Bamco thinks they are and are eager to swallow up the game anyway. This is one of the best ways I can be spending my time right now, and is certainly a better use of it than spitting haughty disapproval towards people who aren't okay with being fed an intentionally and pointlessly tainted product. I'm trying to denounce something that's wrong and get it changed. What are you doing that's worth acting so high and mighty about?
If you're not going to actually help fix the problem, then kindly buzz off and quit trying to impede or debase me.

So, I bought the game now that it's available out here. It's pretty fun. Sticks are stupid, but not a big deal. Fire Emblem Fates had actual gameplay features removed, which is stupid and I hate it, but I bought that game too and enjoyed it because it was still fun.
Anyone who wants to complain about the sticks is free to do so, and I'd encourage you to, but if Nintendo or Bamco's customer service set up is anything like my previous jobs in customer service, then they are literally unable to do anything about these kinds of issues decided upon at a high level. There were certain types of customer complaints that I used to get that I thought were legitimate issues that needed to be addressed, yet when I passed the feedback up the chain of command it was knocked back down to me by the managers saying "We don't care. Not our problem. Customer has to deal with it."
Anyway, it's a fun game and anyone who refuses to play it because of sticks is missing out. I'm at the point where I'm finally starting to recruit new characters. (Oats! Krillin! Tien! Chaozu! Some Namekian guy!) My protagonist is a female human who I named Tempra after tempura.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Quick question - whenever you're flying around, and there's fighters flying around as well that you can go challenge, do they disappear after you take care of them, at least for a time? Or do they just keep flying along, waiting to be re-challenged? I ask, because there doesn't really seem to be much in the way of telling me when I've done enough grinding to be leveled up enough to take on another challenge, so if I beat them all and they disappear, I figured that was a good sign that I'm well on my way.

This. You bitch and moan, but are missing out on what is, one of the best Dragon Ball games to come out in recent times because of sticks. I honestly think if you complain about sticks, you might just need something to complain about to Nintendo or Bandai, because it is not a big deal.SaiyamanMS wrote:So, I bought the game now that it's available out here. Then so be it. If I miss out, then I miss out, and in the end I still win because I didn't compromise on my standards and accept the censorship laying down. I have zero reason to embrace the game in its tainted and sub-par state, and I'm getting rather annoyed at being chastised not just for refusing to bend over and take it, but for actually trying in any way possible to get it fixed.
They took a Dragon Ball game — a Dragon Ball game — and took out the swords, while still keeping far more violent things like guns. That is mind-blowingly ass-backwards, and makes stuff like covering cleavage in some JRPGs look sensible by comparison. It's the absolute bottom of the barrel. It's an outright insult. I'm not the weird one for having a problem with that and refusing to indulge in it.
Be proud of your own rock-bottom standards if you want, but I'm not lowering mine. I choose not to swallow the rabbit turd along with the chocolate truffles.

You're not being chastised for 'refusing to bend over and take it', your reaction is simply being seen as overblown, as well as ridiculous with your reaction towards people daring not to care that a sword got replaced with a stick (Seriously, it's borderline childish).Kaboom wrote:Then so be it. I'd rather have passion on the correct side of an issue than apathy on the wrong side.
Speaking as both a gamer and an artist, opposition to pointless censorship is definitely something worth being passionate about.

No. My standards are not rock bottom. I just happen to realize when something is insignificant. If they removed entire characters for no reason, then yes, that is a reason to call and complain. That is removing content. But this is just sticks. Something so consequential in the grand scheme of things, that it's not even something worth losing sleep over.Kaboom wrote:Then so be it. How is choosing to not be bothered by a case of censorship being on the "wrong" side? You can still oppose the decision and still enjoy the game (in my book at least.) I promise you no one is trying to chastise you for your stance on the matter but I'm more than sure people are wanting you to calm down just a tad. No one here is right, nor wrong! Or even weird for that matter.Kaboom wrote:I'd rather have passion on the correct side of an issue than apathy on the wrong side.

Dragon Ball /Z/GT/Super is a children's show and there's nothing wrong with that.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
They probably did, it's the same way in the Japanese version. I'd suggest you softreset rifts, if you haven't already. Another tip is, if you softreset and you keep seeing the same teams over and over, then try defeating all of them and open a new rift. You'll probably notice new teams start appearing.kizuki wrote:With the new update did they really make it so rifts get completely reset after you open them? Whether A, S, or G rank rifts. Well, most quests do give experience and you also gain more experience from enemies as you go up so you don't really need to be that careful. It's safe to just advance the story as it goes, I don't think you get "game overs" anywayGyt Kaliba wrote:Ahh, so my best bet is trial and error, just level up till I feel confident and then give the next main story bit a try and see how I fair?

I've got the game over the weekend as well and am really enjoying it.
Regarding this swords <-> sticks debate... It was hyped up beyond comparison. Fact is, that the sword attack animations are so short anyway, that you barely notice the sticks. It does in no way take away from the fun of the game.
