I believe that's just Goku fused with the player's avatar. The name of the fusion isn't a portmanteau of anything.

Actually, DBF's streetpass function can fuse characters you can't normally fuse in-game. Remember how there's that extra character slot between the CAC and Pinich that's never used? The streetpass fusion goes there. Also, the streetpass fusion only uses the name of the initiator. Here's some special examples:
Streetpass SSJB EX Gogeta
Streetpass SSJ4 EX Gogeta
Streetpass SSJ3/Base EX Kid Karoly
I wish it was possible to have more than one streetpass fusion at a time, but it's something.

I see! I didn't read into it thoroughly enough.

It's very crazy, though it sucks how all the cool and weird fusions are locked behind streetpass. I wish there was a way to keep each one on the roster.
Btw, the fusion ya posted seems to be between SSJ4 Goku and Vegetto. I'll call the fusion SSJ4 EX Gogetto.

So for those of you who have played the game. My personal favorite DBZ handheld was Legendary Super Warriors. Would you say this game is someone similar yet advanced version given the turn-based RPG style? I absolutely loved that game and have been waiting years for something similar.

Dragon Ball Heroes (Characters & What-Ifs) meets Pokemon (Turn-Based Collect-Em-All) meets Marbles (Knocking enemies into each other in an arena). Does that sound good? It's honestly more fun to play than to explain, so if you don't know what you're doing at first, you'll get the hang of it quickly.

Sounds good to me, thanks! I'm super excited for this game and pretty sure it will keep me occupied for quite some time. The battle system looks fun and seems to have an interesting looking strategic element to it.Rinsankajugin wrote:I'd say a good way to explain this game is if...dualist wrote:So for those of you who have played the game. There's also around 793 EX fusions for the game's original characters, but it'll take forever to list 'em off, and no one's unlocked all of 'em.
Lastly, as previously stated, the 001 character slot is for Arbitrary EX Fusions (KF) that can only be unlocked through streetpass, and you can only have one at a time. Doing the math, not counting the CAC, there's 28,730 possible Arbitrary EX Fusions. Here's pics of some of these streetpass fusions.
So in total, there's 29,764 possible fusions period in Dragon Ball Fusions, though some fusions are harder to unlock than others.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
I don't know if you considered it in those numbers, but there are basically two results for each Streetpass fusion.
The formula for Streetpass fusions basically seems to be:
2nd character's hair (colors mixed from both characters)
Base character's face
Base characters' shirt with the 2nd characters' color
2nd characters' pants with 1st characters' color
So, for example, when you fuse SSJB Goku and SSJB Vegeta, either one might be the "base" and "2nd character" which means that there's actually two results for each pair.

Holy shit, that'd mean this game has 58,494 possible fusions.
Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Here's an example:
The fusion posted before, KF Vegeta (SSJB Vegeta base, SSJB Goku secondary)
Now, the other way around, SSJBlue Goku as primary and SSJB Vegeta as secondary.
By "primary", I mean the character chosen by the player, while the "secondary" is the one gotten from someone else through Streetpass. Of course, just looking at those pictures, you'd think it'd be the other way around, since Vegeta's hair style really dominates the design. Also, the voice and general personality is the one of the primary character.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
Somebody will have their work cut out for them if they want to document every combination for StreetPass fusions. I can't say I'm not interested either. Ignoring the rather troublesome fused-clothes generator it's running on, those can be drawn to appear natural. The second photo with Goku as the primary would look much better with a few tweaks by hand that the game's engine couldn't afford.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
A'ight, I re-calculated the amount of fusions for DBF and it seems I was off by a few. Here's the actual amount of fusions:
841 + 10 + 9 + 170 + (((170 * 170) -170) * 2)= 58,490 possible fusions
841 refers to the EX fusions on the 1013 character roster. Since 170 slots are for normal characters, 1 is for the CAC and 1 is for the streetpass fusion, that leaves 841 EX fusions, including main cast, original character and QR code fusions. 10 refers to the game's metamoran fusions, 9 refers to the Maxi-Fusions, and 170 refers to the CAC EX fusions. (((170 * 170) -170) * 2) is the formula that is used to determine how many unique streetpass fusions are possible.
I was previously off by 4, but still, 58,490 possible fusions is a lot more than anyone was expecting, and since every character has a customizable moveset, it makes me wonder how balanced PVP is gonna be...
Anyways, looking back, it makes me chuckle how we thought this game was only gonna have a handful of characters and fusions. As they say, always trust based Gambarion.

The competitive metagame will likely reflect everyone's frustrations with the series. Everyone won't be viable in a battle. So much for escape in video game worlds thanks to those dreaded tier lists. Do you know anything of the Japanese PvP scene, by chance? I just realized I never researched beyond the main game. I can imagine there's a few pet play-styles that are popular. Experimentation with that should be extensive if one commits time towards it.

Re: "Dragon Ball Fusions" Official Discussion Thread
As far as I can tell, I haven't seen any local PVP videos yet, just story mode and tournament mode gameplay.
I'm sure that'll change when the game comes over though.

There's also the upcoming online Vs mode being added through an update.
