Dragonball was always self-aware to an extent and gag elementary but never a straight meme parody like TFS and here, the English dub does seem to get the same vibe in the way they deliberately change the tone in dialogue just to "get there".
It will be interesting playing the entire story mode with all the characters with the dub off. I`m already betting I`ll be instantly better pleased.
ffs get over this yamcha thing. The character interactions in this game, especially in the story mode, are so goddamn good. Everybody feels organic, and you can tell that System Arcs are real fans of the show. I'm not surprised, considering that their "What if" scenarios in Super Sonic Warriors were also really, really good. The characters are written beautifully for what could have been another ho-hum forgettable story mode and all I've seen you post about is bitching about how "yamcha doesn't deserve this, yamcha should retort like this, why are they shitting on yamcha" etc. Get over it. I wish the writers for Super were this good.
You also need to get over yourself. I've played Tekken since it's first incarnation and still hold Tekken 3 as one of my favorite fighting games of all time. To base your entire opinion on the gameplay because you "watched a video reviews" and then also tell me the Street Fighter series is boring, repetitive, and nowhere near as deep as the Tekken series is just one of the most ludicrous things I've heard. You clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about (probably never played a Guilty Gear series game either). I wouldn't even compare this game to Marvel vs Capcom 3, but moreso it's predecessor. FighterZ is a technical, deep fighter with an emphasis on high octane battles and is the first fighter in the franchise to do it with such precision and care. If I wanted to play Tekken, I wouldn't play Street Fighter. If I wanted to play Street Fighter, I wouldn't play Tekken. Same goes for King of Fighters, for Killer Instinct, for Mortal Kombat, etc. But to imply that one is incredibly more complex than the other to the point of elitism that you displayed is a joke. All games have their balance issues and all games will have top tier characters that come up again and again in tournaments like EVO.Bullza wrote:How long is the story mode for this game? That will probably determine when I end up getting it.
And to now backtrack now that you're going to get the game based on whether the story mode is "enough" for you is pathetic. This is literally the first game in the entire franchise to actually be taken seriously by the entire fighting game community, a game that we thought would NEVER happen because this fanbase is so used to getting shit like Xenoverse and Tenkaichis and other 300 "character" roster full of clone games, a game that ended up being developed by one the TOP fighting game developers working today, yet it doesn't pass your pretentious "test". Please. Either contribute to the thread or kindly stfu.
