Could a Xenoverse 3 in the works?

If anything, that lends credence to the idea that a third game is in the works. Clearly the game is still profitable if they're continuing to support it nearly three years (had to check, but it's actually almost been that long) on which is unprecedented for a Dragon Ball game. I think it also is probably their way of trying to tide people over until they're ready to release a third game, which hopefully will be a significant upgrade from 2.

I think we should be looking around E3 next year just for the announcement and then the release somewhere on 2021.

Dimps seems too focused on pumping all their energy into XV2. If another game was in the works all this new content could have easily been saved for a sequel release.

In an interview for XV2 when it was on the way out said that Xenoverse 3 would have a longer development cycle than 2. So yeah.

I think all this DLC that's being created is proof of it honestly. However does that mean they've been making stuff for ps4 and Xbox one standards and now have to remodel for next Gen?

They could probably devote a small team to focus on DLC while XV3 is worked on--or, there's no reason the two couldn't be worked on concurrently.

Transformed it looks about okay I'd say, but base Vegeta's face looks terrible in the game.
Just does not look like him at all whatsoever..

My guess is that around the time xenoverse 2 came out, the dev kits for the PS5 & Series X were released. My speculation is that they knew that the next gen consoles were coming out & are putting XV3 as a next gen release. XV2's support is being used to test how to do long term support for games like this that isn't attached to some arcade game(SDBH).

To this day, it still I'm still baffled Dimps didn't just reuse the Budokai 3 models and just enhance them like they do with Heroes. They're still easily in the top 5 for me in terms of accurate and appealing character models

I really really hope they do something with the way the game looks. For a while I couldn't decide whether I disliked the story or the graphics the most, but right now I can safely say the way the game looks has got to be the most off-putting part about it. I know people just want them to fix the lighting on the models and maybe retexture the characters like the mods are doing, but that seems like something you would do for a small-scale game like Heroes. Xenoverse 3 is supposed to be coming on the PS5 and right after 2 of the most visually impressive games the franchise has to offer. I'm not expecting something on the level of FighterZ, but I hope it makes the best of the horsepower of the platforms its going to be on.

On a related note: I can't put my finger on it, but there's something so unappealing and "off" about the energy blasts in Xenoverse. That's definitely something they need to fix.

If we do get XV3 in 2021, it will probably be a crossgen game similar how XV1 was. Having it be only on the PS5 and XBSX would be a bad idea because not everyone has next gen systems by next year.

I can't afford a PS5 or a new Xbox, so I hope it will be on the PS4.
