Dream Game in Dragonball

Post by AnzuMazaki » Sun Feb 24, 2008 1:24 am

What is your dream game for Dragonball.

My dream game is a fighting game, simular to the Sparking Series, wxcept there would be a custom character thing that allows you to make your own characters, and that characters like THE WIVES (Bulma, Chichi etc) are playable.

and of course DB Yamcha and Z Yamcha are seperate, I don't need no Saiyan Saga Yamcha in a bandit costume.

so what is your dream game?

Surely that isn't a "dream game"

Those are just things you could ask for in the next Sparking! game :?

My "dream game" would either be a 3d turn based RPG (I loved Super Saiya-jin Densetsu) with the first game focusing just on Dragonball, or another Super Dbz :P

Open ended RPG like Oblivion but in the dragonball universe (think the MMO but offline play)

What exactly would Bulma do?

She could use inventions made just for the game, like how Mr Satan has a jetpack. She could throw exploding capsules, those would be awesome.

Anyway my dream Dragon Ball game would be one with an all new story with all new villians and maybe some brand new supporting characters.

So, not much, then.

This would be a really bad idea. TOEI completely failed at creating a new story and new characters, and they're the next step down from Mr. Toriyama himself. Why on Earth do you want Random Videogame Company (TM) to take a crack at it?

Something that involves a Create-a-Character, and I don't mean Online.

I guess I would mix Dragonball Adventure from GBA with Budokai 3 from PS2.

Ingame conversations like Budokai 3 training where you could choose the answer..

Shops in the world, and possibility of exploring the ground as much as
flight exploration of dragon universe..

I don´t know I am stuck with B3.. I needed a game that could surpass it but shin budokais and burst limits just dont..

Mario Party…Dragonball style. I could think of tons of DB themed mini games.

I would love to see a remake of Legends on a next gen console (or even the Dreamcast), with the same type of gameplay but more like the Power Stone games. Either that, or a fighting game sequel to Idainaru Goku Densetsu, Super Battle, the Butoden series or Hyper Dimension (in 2D) on the Taito Type-X hardware. Or, a turn-based RPG would be nice. Something along the same lines of Skies of Arcadia, Suikoden II or even Vagrant Story with the awesome combo system.

I can only dream, though. :(

Bid of Power was a cool hack. I thought it was going to be developed and made into a real game for a while there. It's too bad it didn't. It had some potential.

We-ell... (And I did in fact not read half the thread because of my hasty replying...).

In DB, Bulma used a shrinking band on heself (she gave it to Roshi... but... ... Yeah. In Sparking, small characters tend to be harder to hit?).
She used a pill on Oolong that ... gave her ... power over him. It'd be kinda difficult to shove that down the throat of an enemy in an action game, but... Meeh.
And... vehicles?
Dragon Radar?
Being amusing?
Oolong and Puar assistance?
... *goes to read the rest of the thread*

[edit] Blah, I suck at fulfilling any of my ideas, but I often times wind up putting a little too much detail into designs for gaes that I'm not going to make myself...
... I wonder if maybe we shouldn't just colaborate to create a super-in-depth presentation of what a vaguely-resembling-ideal game would be like, and find some parallel universe where it could be submited to one of the game developers. :P. Wah, I daydream too much.[/edit]

Would love a sequal to Advanced Adventure. Starting at Piccolo Junior and ending at Freeza.

Yes they are, but she also doesn't have super-speed or endurance, so... *STOMP*

It also did no damage and will just piss the opponent off. :P

Which do jack.

Oolong and Puar assistance?
They don't gain strength from transforming. :P

This reminds me of a topic I made years ago about a Dragonball DDR.
