This game gets a bad rap, but I for one loved it.

Did anyone else find this game enjoyable?

Eh. I liked it to a certain limit. Then I got to the ending where you fight SSJ Vegeta.

As a friend of mine put it, "I don't care if this game is out of print, I want it burned"

I didn't enjoy it. I get bored with it very easily. But I do think it was probably the best of the old card RPGs.

Also, the title is Super Saiya Densetsu. Most people just call it "Legend of the Super Saiya-jin", or something, but if you're going to use the Japanese name, that's the proper one.

Of course, I have no idea why, but there really is no jin character in the title.

Too many random battles. Too many random battles. TOO MANY RANDOM BATTLES

And the music was all too repetitive. It was the same again and again and again and again and arrrghhhh

Other than that, it was fairly fun and faithful to the source. I liked how you could take Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chouzu through the Vegita battle and all the way up onto Namek.

The SSj Vegita battle at the end was evil, though. No matter how many times I try it, Goku and Piccolo are the only ones who survive.

Everyone else was always killed about the first 3 rounds, no matter what I did.

Poor humans... they really do get screwed over, no matter where they are... :D

By the by, has anyone tried out that one trick? Staying in Ginyu's body with Goku, and then body switching with Freeza (or even SSj Vegita) near the very end?

Actually, Tien kicked some major ass against SSJ Vegeta for me. ^^ I trained the Humans up to max and then used one of the power-up items. Um... and I'd hacked it a little... but yeah, still kicked Veggie's butt around the screen. ^_^

Anyway, Legend of the Super Saiya-jin is my all time favorite DBZ game period. I want a re-make for the GBA Damnit! :x

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

I've been after it for a while now... We are talking about the PC game, right? Is there still places to find it?

PC game...? Err, no, this one's for Super Nintendo. Apparently there was an Idai Naru Son Gokuu Densetsu for the PC Engine, though. Maybe you're thinking of that?

The game is too sloooow. Why do everyone have to cast five FF8 GF summons every time they attack?

That's the other annoying bit. It's neat the first few times you see an enemy (or one of the heroes) get smashed into the ground or a random cliff face. It gets dull about the third time, and the game doesn't let up from that point, ever. This game was a rather lazy effort for the developers, I think.

HA HA! yup that's the one! ^^;; there's so many Densetsus! And for Super Famicom I've only played the Botuden games and the first DB RPG... going now to look it up at Super Pope.

Kinda weird how this game suffers the same problems as most RPGs, but yet it gets a bad reputation for what I'm assuming is lack of FMV. I thought some similar things about Final Fantasy 7, and that seems to be what "saved" that game for most people (not me though  ) .

But a good RPG = Paper Mario.

I will sell a kidney if it gets me Paper Mario 2 tomorrow.

You could just sell your soul and get the ISO (or import)...

But yeah, I can't wait for the English legal release.
