SARD UNDERGROUND "DAN DAN" & "Don`t you see!" Covers

Post by DBZfan29 » Tue Sep 24, 2019 11:34 pm

SARD UNDERGROUND, a new ZARD cover band, just released their first album ZARD tribute on 2019 September 18. It includes two GT covers - "DAN DAN Kokoro Hikareteku" and "Don`t you see!". I am not a huge fan of theirs, but I attended their recent concert in Osaka and it was pretty cool. I was probably one of the younger people there; it seems their fan base is mostly older ZARD fans. You can see some performances on their website:

This probably doesn`t need its own post, but if you purchased ZARD CD&DVD COLLECTION volume 63 (which includes a 2016 remix and the TV-size version of "Don`t you see!"), you can download the original version of the song from ZARD`s website. The TV-size version was already included on a previous volume of the magazine (volume 27, sold out online), so they have up the original version as a bonus. This is actually the mix that was only included on the first press of the single back in 1997. From the second press onward (including all album inclusions), the song used a different mix. I can`t really notice any differences, but maybe someone else on the forum can! Anyway, it`s a great way to own three versions of the song!

An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?
