Shunsuke Kikuchi's BGM production quality

Just a few days ago, after I chose the right audio gear to use, when I had free time I played 2 DBZ OST compilation videos on YT (keep in mind that it's compressed, and thus not even the best quality).

And listening very attentively, the attention to detail on the recording, mixing and mastering for each instrument was spectacular (even more so than when it's used in the show for some reason). It wasn't only the strings and brass sections that were loud and clear (a little too loud for the latter in fact), but the sections that use the grand piano as well as electric guitar (& bass) underneath were excellently rendered as well. I can't believe it was ever mono, it had all the indications of stereo as far as I could tell. And I'd like to reiterate that this is the compressed version, so the real source must be even better.

Honestly, his work was a lot more splendid than I thought at some point and it can't be low budget or quality at all. The staff certainly didn't cheap out on any aspect of the OST. Now I fully see what everyone else sees that's excellent about it (if I still had any doubts after watching the broadcast audio) and I'd like to apologize to those people who took my initial posts in this section the wrong way.

Makes one wonder why Toei even bothered replacing it in Kai, though this was probably their fault since they threw away the BCA.
