Episode #0256! VegettoEX, Meri, Julian, and Hujio discuss the second chapter of "DragonBall SD". The sudden extra chapter appears out of nowhere and jumps straight into the Freeza fight (condensing it down considerably), but is it worth it that this spin-off even exists? News tidbits, releases, and your e-mails round out the episode. Referenced sites:
Ta-dah! Enjoy.

Thought it might be worth noting: En Pantalla released the first 52 episodes of Z some years ago.

Can't wait to see these new ones though.

I'll make comments while listening, so here goes:
-Hujio didn't mention the movie 7 special page on Kanzentai. (Just sayin'.)
-Maybe the 'Episode 97' that aired was a merge between the original 97 and 98 (excluding the Trunks part, of course.) Maybe on the final DVD, they will include these hypothetical original episodes 97 & 98, and the edited 97 that aired.
-No comment on SD.
-On Episode 292 will you start using GT's Dan Dan recap theme? Since up 'til 199 you used the Cha-La recap theme, and since 200 you've used the We Gotta Power recap theme, in line with how those themes were used in actual episodes of Dragon Ball Z.

Yay! A new podcast! I'm downloading. It feels good that you guys now have some regularity on the releasing of episodes now. (and since I said that, its going to ruin the balance and we won't have an episode for three weeks or so... )

Hmmmm, I'd rather they used 'Premonition of a Grand Adventure'. Great episode, by the way guys.

Umm... what? We've been pretty much weekly since late 2005. I mean, other than a random week here or there (and a month off for our wedding / honeymoon a couple years back)... I mean... every single week... five years...

Wow, I'm looking at the podcast list, and dang it, I thought you missed more than what it says. I guess when there is a weekly thing, you notice more when it's not there. You missed one at the beginning of April, but other than that, really nothing, you're certainly on the ball today, Ginyu. I applaud your diligence.

Are you guys planning on reviewing the other English Z Kai sets?

Not particularly. We have covered the actual content of the DragonBall Kai story quite a few times since its broadcast in Japan, and other than curiously checking in on the new English dub from the first set, it's of no major concern for the goal of the website or the larger audience that we serve.

Review = "Like Kai? Buy it. American sets are cheaper than the Japanese ones, and Steve's subbing them. We still recommend the Dragon Boxes over it, though." Ta-dah!

Kinda disappointed by the length of the episode, but still a fun listen over all.

I think I have the same feelings towards SD as you all did. I don't particularly hate it but I don't really know the reason why it exists. At first I thought it was gonna be a more drastic retelling and that the first chapter was just set up, but it's rather disappointing. I completely forgot about Dragon Ball SD until I saw the podcast title, which is the best way to describe it, forgettable.

Also, Hujio has been showing up more often now, does this mean he's a new regular?

I don't get it. Am I missing something or is this a reference/joke?

Japan, North America/Australia (we'll consider them the same, since it's FUNimation's production), now Mexico, and since then we've also got the French news...

Sorry. I guess I should've been more explicit. I was referring to how you didn't mention on the main site that Kai has also been released in Australia.

AHEM! and NZ :P , although I guess we can be chucked together with AUS, since we have the same home distributor, but it wouldn't hurt to get some recognition, after all we do get different release dates
