Episode #0377! VegettoEX and Meri discuss a little bit of site content and "XENOVERSE" catch-up before setting up a slew of mini-topics. Julian joins for a spirited debate about power levels (and whether or not Super Saiyan God is stronger than Super Saiyan 4) before heading into a retro-review about "Captain Ginyu: Assault" on VHS. VegettoEX wraps things up with a salute to Irwin for a special line of Dragon Ball figures from 15 years ago.

I knew exactly what this was gonna be as soon as I saw the run-time.
Great episode nonetheless; was a lot of fun to listen to. I can't believe that that's what happened in the new movie. :wink:

Didn't even mention PLANET BUSTING.
HOW CAN YOU TALK ABOUT POWER LEVELS AND NOT TALK ABOUT A CHARACTER'S INNATE NEED TO BUST PLANETS.
You address the most basic of topics without even considering whether a Super Kamayamaya can even harness the energy of a sun's core to bench press a moon, which, by my calculation is:

g = m/r^2

m = r^2 x g

m = 0.0000156961230576^2 x 10

m = 0.0000000024636827904 earth masses

Earths mass = 5.97219 × 10^24 kilograms

5.97219 × 10^24 X 0.0000000024636827904 = 14,713,581,723,998,976

m = 14,713,581,723,998,976 kg

I rate this episode 0 Akiras out of 5. Amateurs.

Amazing. This is the first time an April Fool's has caught me off-guard in like a decade. Helps that the date on it was March 29th, I was just looking for something to listen to and a new episode unexpectedly showed up in my podcast subscriptions. Listened to it while walking home, literally had to stop walking for a minute I was laughing so hard when the topic started and realisation set in, then continued chuckling the entire way home. Everyone's mannerisms were dead-on, loved Julian's consistently shitty audio quality. In some ways it really felt like a throwback to those endearingly awkward first few episodes from 2006-ish with hyper Mike and the interactions with "Julian". The first "Mike" in particular was spooky in its authenticity, in a way that can only be captured by someone who has clearly had the voice of VegettoEX in their ears every week for years.

Good show, fellas. Good show. :thumbup:

My favorite part is when "Mike" and "Julian" talked about the Ginyu Assault VHS. :lol: :clap:

This made my morning. I enjoyed the consistent mispronunciation of Saiyan.

I haven't even finished the podcast yet, but the Dale Kelly/Faulconer score intro was amazing and made me laugh out loud.

Loving the work, guys! Can't wait to check in later with everyone's thoughts on "Resurrection F".

I actually lol'd when the Dale Kelly / Kyle Herbert impression started lol.
The entire thing was hilarious. Would've been funny if you purposely called Beerus "Bills"

No you're wrong! Toriyama told me all the power levels himself. He said Broly has the highest power in the series, besides Mr. Satan!

I only read the first sentence of the summary so it took a bit until it dawned on me what I had gotten myself into listening to this :lol:

I have no recollection of recording this episode whatsoever.

I must have been really tired. And/or editing an episode of DBZ Abridged.

Gotta say, I'm interested in how you guys came up with this content. Is it largely improvised with a few notes here and there, like the podcast is usually, or were full-on scripts used? Was it a bit of both depending on the segment?

Perhaps the stress from being arrested got to you. :angel:

All those years taking pictures of Japanese children at arcades... I know we should have seen this coming, but that doesn't make it any less of a shock...

Also, mildly surprised nobody dropped a "Unicorn!" in there at any point. :P

"Julian, everything you've done for this site is now in question! How can I trust you if you're not practicing your nihongers?!" (Or was it Nipongers, I couldn't make it out.)
"I'm sorry, Mike, I can only dedicate so much of my life to this show from the 80's!"

If I was not in a public place at the time I'd have been dying.

That just cycled between satire, absurdity, and full-on self-deprecation, didn't it? You go all out with these. That was a pleasant surprise.
