Dragon Ball Z Kai 2 DVD and Blu Ray out Sept 14

Just got my catalog for Spring from RightStuf and here was an ad for Dragon Ball Z Kai. Not sure if the second set's release date has been found by anyone else. If so, I apologize for this thread.

My personal feeling is I'm a little happy about the amount of time between release because money is tight, funimation is releasing dozens of titles I want to buy frequently and I don't like falling behind in buying releases. That's my opinion but I'm sure many of you will disagree with me

Damn that sucks, I was hoping that Part 2 (Episodes 14-26) would be released in July and then Part 3 (Episodes 27-39) in September.

How far has the Japanese Blu-ray release of Kai gotten? (that is, up to what episodes have been released in Japan?)

I think part of the reason why the 2nd stateside Kai box set is so far away is because of possible requirements that our U.S. Blu-ray release is a certain number of months since the Japanese Blu-ray release. The U.S. discs have the same region-coding as the Japanese discs (for Blu-ray), and reverse importation is something the Japanese would like to avoid, especially now that there's a U.S. licensor for Kai.

I think with the September release for part 2 could have to do with the episode count so far with Kai. Episode 53 hasnt even aired yet in Japan.

If there were more frequent release dates then we may catch up and wait even longer for more episodes to be produced.

if there will only be 100 episodes. Then I see it like this.

Do we have any idea how far they've dubbed it at this point? And I guess the question that follows is how many episodes will Nicktoons be airing in its initial broadcast run?

Well it took Japan a year to get to 50 episodes, so that's probably close to what we'll expect from America.

September isn't even that bad, given that we're currently about 40 episodes behind Japan. They just have to release the show at a reasonable pace so they don't catch up to the Japanese releases.

I don't think you guys should be complaining; this show got licensed and released REALLY quickly, especially compared to the other three Dragon Ball shows.

in funimations hey nice package review DBZ Kai Part 1, the artwork designers say that vegeta is on the boxart with a blue stripe for part 2!!!

mustnt be according to the japanese kai release piccolo as the boxart for volume 2 ???


i hope they change it to piccolo !!! and make vegeta for part 3 !!! like the japanese releases !!! but i think the designers themselves are db fans so they dont know what they say ^^
