None

I'm hoping they'll pull a Kai 1.0 and at least release the first part early, but I don't expect that to happen this time around

I've always figured it only happened the first time to avoid confusion about the existence of an Uncut version, which wouldn't be an issue this time

I really hope this is the case. Vegetto has two voices in Japanese, it should also be that way in the dub, especially since the dub's had it since the beginning.
This will likely be the case. Every incarnation so far has had the dual voices, and I don't think Funi would be so bold as to change that now. Vegetto's demeanor is much more similar to Vegeta than Goku, so for Sean's recording it likely does sound like Goku doing a Vegeta impression.

It was like that in whichever Raging Blast game had the Vegetto vs. Gogeta scenario, too. Vegetto had Vegeta's voice as more dominant and Sean Schemmel's Goku voice & delivery sounded more Vegeta-like, and it was the other way around for Gogeta.

See, that I can understand

I do hope Sean clarifies though, now that the dub's been announced
he's usually pretty candid about this stuff

It's going to be so wonderfully ironic hearing a one man Vegetto in a Funimation dub after so many people bashed Brian Drummond's version for only having one voice.

So, what's the biggest thing everyone's looking forward to for Funi's Final Chapters dub?

For me personally, it'll be Vegeta's sacrifice.
A somewhat self-indulgent thesis on my current outlook on Dragon Ball fandom, which I feel should be below every post I make from now on:

For me it's a lot of moments as the Buu saga is full of great ones. Some of the things I'm particularly excited for are:
-Goku and Vegeta's fight and the dialogue exchanges between them
-Vegeta's sacrifice
-SS3 Goku transformation
-Gotenks in general. I always found him funny and awesome.
-Super Buu in general. Justin Cook did an excellent job in the Z dub so I'm looking forward to hearing him again, and really hope he's given his voice filter back as it made him sound really crazy and menacing.
-Gohan going Mystic/Ultimate and kicking Buu's ass, as well as his subsequent struggle against Buutenks
-Vegito
-The entire final battle, as well as the "You're number 1!" speech from Vegeta.

I completely forgot that the Ocean Dub did that... But that Vegetto does sound pretty lame, almost like he's hiding a California surfer accent.

I always liked the idea of the fusions having one voice instead of 2 over-lapping... They make a stern note that Vegetto and Gogeta are NOT Kakarot and/or Vegeta, but a whole new person with traits of both... If that's the case, then it makes sense to me that their voices would merge too. Otherwise it's kinda contradictory IMO.

I'm looking forward to the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. It's such an iconic scene that I just want to see how they improve it.

When did Cook ever use a filter for his Super Buu voice? I don't remember Buu having a filter.

It was only in Funimation's original unaltered dub. The Orange Bricks and Blu-ray sets couldn't carry the filter over for whatever reason even though the actual recordings were supposedly still the same. It would be used in basically any scene were Super Buu started screaming and in certain dialogue scenes like this one at 10:35.

I always thought it sounded awesome and really missed it in the remastered dub.

Besides what has already been mentioned, Sean Schemmel mentioned that there's a scene where Goku apologizes to Gohan for not really being there in his life, and that he started to tear up in real life when he was recording that scene. It sounds like he might have taken a slightly different approach than Nozawa did, but as somebody who loves to see different interpretations of the same character, that sounded quite intriguing to me...
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

I'm honestly excited just to see Gohan in general. While recording BOG, in the behind the scenes, there was something about Kyle Herbert's Kai Gohan being a different. I'm curious to see what's different about it. Plus, I just love the character in general and I'm excited to see what Kyle does with it.

I'm excited for this too. This is a beautiful moment. And, even though I'm not a big fan of Funi's changes given their bad track record with me, this is one I actually wanna see because I think they're actually really good now.

This will probably be one of the best Goku scenes and one that'll show how much he's developed over the years.

I'm usually against changing things but this seems like a change for the best.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

So is it conclusively confirmed that Vegetto will only have a single voice and not double? Why would they do that. That's a total cop out.

Secondly, the line that Schemmel mentions about Goku apologizing for not being in Gohan's life. Was that in the Japanese version or is this something FUNi is making inaccurate to the original scripts?

What I'm mostly looking forward to is that same feeling I had while watching the first three arcs of Kai. A blend of nostalgia mixed with the joy of experiencing a brand new and improved performance.

And another thing I'm pleased about: when you combine this with Dragon Ball, the english dub will now finally have a complete chronological progression from beginning to end (as in, every arc will have been dubbed after the previous arc) for the entire Dragon Ball story. That way the performances will have a natural progression in terms of improving over time rather than being all flipped around and awkwardly merged in the middle like the original Z dub.

The Vegetto thing isn't confirmed, but it seems that's the direction they're going for. I guess we'll find out when it airs. :D

From what I remember, Sean Schemmel said they weren't changing the dialogue for the scene, but when delivering the lines, he intentionally put a bit of a catch in his throat. A lot of people are saying stuff against this, but my view on it is this guy is a professional voice actor who's been playing this character for 17 years. If he thinks a line should be delivered in a particular way, I say let him do it. After all, Sean making a small suggestion during the making of Kai is how we got "I am Son Goku!" in the Freeza arc.

Agreed, that will be nice. Although that still leaves GT as the one anomaly. GT Kai, anyone? ;)

To my knowledge Sean is just putting more emotion into it not changing the line itself, also it seems that way for Vegetto not entirely sure.
