Beerus' introduction in Battle of Gods was a gag. He woke up, was acting like a sleepy cat and was falling around like a looney toons character.

Beerus' introduction in Battle of Gods was a gag. He woke up, was acting like a sleepy cat and was falling around like a looney toons character.

The BoG arc in Super definitely made Beerus far more serious, in the film his seriousness is few and far between. Plus we've had our serious Beerus moments in Super most notably when he destroyed Zamasu.

Beerus is the new "main character" with Goku etc and is a new ally. He can't be like in Bog arc/movies for obvious reasons. But is still dangerous if someone triggers him enough.

Many times Toei writers exaggerate with gag scenes, but not only with him, anyway.

I was thoroughly disappointed when they didn't play this in the RoF arc. They're definitely not gonna play it for the real thing, but I can see someone making a fan-edit.

It's kind of ironic these aliens look like dogs and Freeza is going to literally slaughter some dogs in the episode. As you know, "dogs" is slang for grunts in TV shows/movies where they're usually just there to get beat up by other characters.
