People didn't trashed Gohan Blanco for his design. They trashed it for how stupid the premise of him getting it was and the whole overhyping Gohan. And Toriyama never cared what fans think and in fact, he purpose does things to annoyed the like killing off their favorite characters.OverHeaven wrote:

The recolors memes for new DBS forms are not something new obviously, it started with Battle of Gods and look how many fan arts transformations are canon now. So I'm really surprised that Akira still has the balls to continue this trashy trend without getting embarrassed and I'm sure he knows about the memes, and also that anime staff is accepting this with every single cell of their brains.
Fans who were trashing the Gohan Blanco meme and criticizing whoever use it should feel like it's something very stupid should feel embarrassed too.
I'm not even joking, I'd take this over any of these shitty forms at anytime

Also, Ultra Instinct was perfect as it was. One of the few things done right in Super but of course, let's ruin it why not.

It makes sense from a marketing standpoint besides they don't treat it as a technique in the show or on merchandise. It really doesn't outside of making Goku look more ape. Even then, it doesn't explained why Goku's fur looks like a vest and why he keeps his pants.
