Seriously. I, like most of you, got into DBZ just as GT concluded in Japan. Given its popularity, I just assumed Dragon Ball AF was a real thing, and new episodes of Dragon Ball would be coming out of Japan, steady. I mean, why not?

18 years later, the dream has come true. I should probably temper expectations, but right now I choose to get hype.

I would like if they explore the 12 universes. Well it would make no sense if they don't.
My guess is AT had it in mind since BoG, or it would be stupid for Beerus to mention the 12 universes if we are never seeing anything of them.
So they gave us the two movies for a "Sneak Peek" and to see how much money to put in this new serie and if Dragon Ball was still loved worldwide.
So now that both movies have been a success, I really think they will try making the best out of Dragon Ball Super.
DB is a COLOSSAL franchise, it can make so much money I don't think they will fail this time.

It's so sudden. New movies, in theaters in the US no less, have been great. But new movie release followed by a new series... It's just... so sudden. o_o Like damn, y'all.

I need to put my two cents in since it seems everyone else already took the opportunity to do so, i must say that i am beyond ecstatic. I thought back to the news that it may take place around where Ressurection F leaves off which really lets my imagination wander as the fact of the matter is that these 2 recent movies added a lot of things i actually have grown fond of. My response to this news was literally emotional and i will be sure to support any official release i can.

Well. If there is a SSJ5 coming(which is higly unlikely) I think Toriyama would deliberatly make it the opposite of the giant silver hairs, and vein popping muscles. But now that I think about it, wasn't that basically Super Saiyan God?

This is amazing news. I just pray to all the gods (lol puns) that they wont botch the quality up. I'm not meaning story or anything like that. I mean video quality. Since you know, DBZ BUU KAI is a complete disaster and the worst quality I've ever seen a HUGELY popular anime/show have. Native 16:9 anyone?! No green tint please? The only thing that sucks for me is the tremendous wait I'll have to endure, as I can't and don't watch the show in Japanese.

Well SSJG was originally meant to have an over the top design, but Toriyama scratched that in favour of something more simple.

Man, now I know how Star Wars fans felt like when Episode VII announced.

The tremendous wait is something all of us dub fans will endure. With that in mind though, I AM SO GLAD THIS IS A THING!
