I figure Toriyama just hasn't submitted new character designs for the kids yet and thus they haven't aged Goten and Trunks until he submits those, probably for when they appear again in U6 or after. They aren't changing in this saga because they didn't have designs for them for FnF.

But can't they just re-use the teen Trunks/Goten designs from the end of DBZ? I mean we already know what an older Trunks and Goten from Toriyama look like. Just make them a bit shorter or something.

No because if toriyama has not submitted the designs for the arc yet, then toei won't do it.

Goten and Trunks are supposed to have an extremely long adolescence, like Goku did. Even in Jaco's manga, it is mentioned Saiyans stay as child for a long time, before growing extremely fast to a body more suitable for battles. In Gohan's case, he probably had a more earthling-like growing process. Maybe the child, being a different kind of saiyan hybrid, the tail-less one, they have inherited Saiyan growth.

I think it'll be something like this :

round one :

Goku wins his fight.
Vegeta wins his fight.
Buu&whoever he fights both lose in a tie.
Piccolo loses his fight.
The new guy loses his fight.

Round two :

Goku fights who beat Piccolo and loses.
Vegeta fights who beat the new guy and loses.

Champa's team wins which leads to a new plot after he gets earth moved to U6 or maybe the tournament gets put on hold to face a bigger threat like what happened during the Buu arc.

I'll be happy as long as it doesn't end with Goku winning it.

Goku with 15 was still a kid so I don't really see a big problem with Goten and Trunks, but I do hope that for U6 arc they get a little bigger.

I honestly don't see anyone changing looks anytime soon unfortunately, in the newest chapter Goku and Vegeta look the exact same as they did in RF.

If we're lucky maybe Gohan will have another new hair hairstyle, this time copying Yamcha's ponytail

Goku wins
Vegeta wins
Boo losses
New guy wins
Piccolo loses

Chanpa has bigger plans then bang we go to U6 for the follow up with Goku/Vegeta splitting up going their seperate ways fighting different people.

How I hope this happens. I wanna see Vegeta kicking ass just as much as I want to see Goku.

if both vegeta and goku win it will be boring, piccolo will get a power up (namkeian god its makes too much sense) as well as buu.

i see round 2
piccolo vs the person who beat buu as a draw ( there has to be at least one draw)
new guy loses to the person who beats vegeta

there is a break because the tournament is interrupted when the rest of the z fighters including vegeta who returns and gohan

round 3 goku vs universe 6 last guy who is champas strongest
and goku wins to show beerus that actually goku is the strongest person he has faced.

Having the spotlight be on Goku for a 3rd time in a row will make things very boring and predictable especially since Z changed it in every arc.

What they should do is have Goku lose and have the final battle of the arc be between Beerus&Champa.

why would beerus and champa fight
the tournament rules say they cant, it would be pointless to have the tournamemt in the first place if they are just going to fight at the end

There's no "rounds". The tournament will be like the Uranai Baba tournament. When one guys loses, another guy in the team enters his place.

Now that is a lot better, I bet a nickel Piccolo will go first for U7 Team, or something unexpected like having Goku or Vegeta go first and lose instantly

I could see Beerus making his toughest opponent go first so he could finish everything quickly but loses in the first or second round, showing him that Goku and Vegeta have become much stronger than he thought at first.

Where is this ever stated anywhere in the manga? Don't remember this, pretty sure we don't know how the matches are gonna work yet, but it would make more sense to do rounds.

I could see that too! Enough of characters that outclass both Goku and Vegeta, please

Champa: They fight one at a time... Whoever defeats the other's team leader in the end will be named the victor.

I really don't know what I wanna see in that arc, I don't know if I wanna see U7 wins, or maybe U6 wins. I guess it's all depends on how the story-telling would go. If it'd be good enough, I guess I'd be satissfied with every outcome.
