Amazing that the only thing you do in this thread is complain,even thing that are petty or unexplained like the page of Krillin and co reaction to Frieza,just drop the manga if you don't liked what your seeing.As for the leak,i will wait if he will show Gohan ultimate if not i will be shocked if all the buildup of Gohan was just from the staff.Also those Manga is better than anime comments are pretty annoying at this point.

It always ends in an anime vs manga debate, despite the manga this chapter not being that different from the anime outside of cutting off the extra stuff the anime had, better or worst.

Also considering Yamcha's track record(especially in dbz)its not wonder they do not even consider him(he is also retired as well),heck Tien straight up ditches Yamcha in rof,in all 3 versions of it.

We all know how Toryama is with his characters but this reads a tad like revisionist history.

One, Tenshinhan leaving Yamcha behind is not in all versions of the event. In the show, the line was taken out. I didn`t read this Manga about it so I don`t know.

Two, Yamcha`s track record wouldn`t matter. His bad luck in Tournaments comes from always fighting people strong enough to defeat Goku if not the actual antagonist. The one time he was schooled for lack of technique was when he fought Roshi and at the time and up until the 22nd Bodukai is always good to remember that unlike Krillin and Goku he had no official training or guidance under a master that we know of and it was still used to land a benchmark considering Goku couldn`t believe anyone could do what Roshi was doing. Regardless, he undoubtely impresses Roshi at Baba`s Demon Toilet otherwise he wouldn`t have been accepted as a student and is then jumped to a point where he masters the main school move whereas Kuririn with almost a decade of training didn`t. He then goes to have the same sensei that Goku and the rest did.

As mentioned before until Goku&Friends, despite the internet meme, he wasn`t misrespected by Toryama as far as prowess goes. It`s post 2008 that the shifting happens.

What this Manga is doing, is at least aknowledging that Yamcha is considered among the strongest beings on Universe 7 just as Chiatzu because that`s exactly what they are, which is something the show ditched to "official" a meme status (he isn`t the only one, in a much better place vegeta too has become one if you notice). I have no idea where Freeza`s mention pops up until I read the chapter but since Goku is the one person who is aware of how final the Top is supposed to be then chosing Freeza isn`t a slice to Yamcha, it`s the factual true that one is vasty more powerful than the other, whether I personally like it or not. The issue is again, the lack of explanation for Roshi to be there.

Ideally I would have desired a Yamcha wanting a spot and betting a match against any of the humans for it but at the same time he would be respectful of Roshi and his friends not to take that time. I can see a bit of both arguments but the truth is we already knew this Manga wouldn`t change the picked characters on the show, whether it makes sense or not so the next best thing would the author taking a chapter detailed why some characters are there and others aren`t without shitting on anyone.

That's been my opinion from the start if toei and toyo worked together on the anime we wouldn't have everybody bitching and flinging shit at each other on a daily basis and most of the complaints Would be minimal
