I'm not too hopeful here, I've been let down too many times lol what I think is going to happen is Vegeta wrecks Moro with his new learned technique, then in typical DBS fashion, something ''unexpected'' is going to happen [gotta subvert them expectations am I right] and there will be some bullshit in the middle of it, followed by an unsatisfying ''twist'' ending, where Vegeta will be cucked once again lmao because we just can't have simple conflict resolutions.YuseiFudou wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 10:51 am Haven't found this on here while reading, possibly missed it. But what do you guys think Vegeta could possibly obtain that will best Moro in any way? We know what sort of what things Yardrats are capable of, but I'm thinking about what could actually be useful against Moro.
Considering that Vegeta has been absent for a couple of chapters by now and is still over there training, all this hype is being built up to the point that it makes me think that he's most certainly going to come back with something that will definitely give him the edge over Moro. Possibly even defeat Moro and giving him the most sought after "win" that many people want him to have after that stupid Resurrection of F ending.
Then we know that Goku is going up against Moro using Ultra Instinct -Omen-, but if this is still not enough to best Moro, there is always Mastered Ultra Instinct. Assuming that Goku will end up using it (most likely he will), my question would be that IF even Mastered Ultra Instinct is not enough to beat Moro, what could Vegeta learn from the Yardrat that could make a difference here?
I just can't think of what it could be and I'm dying to know!

Perhaps he'll learn to use a different kind of source of power instead of ki? Something that Moro can't absorb? Cause that's what I also thought about it, he can't just power up and charge at him to beat him. At this point we can only wait and see, but I doubt we'll see Vegeta in the next chapter either.GodVegetto91 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:04 am At this point, the only logical ability should be immunity to Moro’s magic. So that Moro won’t be able to steal Vegeta’s energy without his consent. Urgh... we've already had that happen with RoF though, no need to have him be cucked again. I swear Toyotaro better not be messing with our minds for no reason! I actually want Vegeta's training to have paid off, and I really think it will. I suppose all we can do now is wait and see what he's got in store for us. Whatever it is that he's got in store that said.Vegeta_Sama wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:28 am I'm not too hopeful here, I've been let down too many times lol what I think is going to happen is Vegeta wrecks Moro with his new learned technique, then in typical DBS fashion, something ''unexpected'' is going to happen [gotta subvert them expectations am I right] and there will be some bullshit in the middle of it, followed by an unsatisfying ''twist'' ending, where Vegeta will be cucked once again lmao because we just can't have simple conflict resolutions.

I don't get see this panel get talked about a lot when discussing Vegeta's new technique, but it seems he's failing to resist a technique being applied by Pybara. Perhaps this is a weird step to achieving an unrelated technique by strengthening Spirit Control, but it seems like a straightforward resisting technique.

Hence strengthening my point. Pybara seems to try and steal Vegeta’s energy, while Vegeta is training/trying to resist it.batistabus wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:41 pmGodVegetto91 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:04 amAt this point, the only logical ability should be immunity to Moro’s magic. Vegeta should totally get a new transformation now. I’m done with Blue. It’s ugly AF. I would take any new color at this point: Green, Purple, or preferably an Ultimate Form. (Or something similair to UI Omen’s look.)
And then the transformations should end for Goku and Vegeta after this. Just like many fans are asking for all this time.

I agree. He's not injured there, just exhausted. Although spirit control does seem to be draining for him anyway, considering he looked tired just meditating on that pole. I think his technique is going to be a straightforward ki draining-resistance one, but hopefully it'll be applied in an interesting way/ have a good twist to it that would be revealed later.batistabus wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 12:41 pmGodVegetto91 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:04 amAt this point, the only logical ability should be immunity to Moro’s magic. I'd love for both to get something that looks like Omen or Mystic. Unfortunately, transformations are a big aspect of the franchise so they're not going anywhere.GodVegetto91 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 2:53 pm Vegeta should totally get a new transformation now. That comp is swiped from a Twitter thread I’ve been keeping-

Toyo definitely has SEVERAL poses that he banks on time and time again, and that’s one of the most obvious ones I’ve noticed, since it typically takes up such a large portion of each respective page.

Might be a long shot but the fight against #73 could be foreshadowing. Vegeta being the Androids while Goku is Piccolo and Gohan, in the scenario.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The sad part of this is that they actually also recycled Hits design with Seven Three now too lol.
But yes animals, three other Gods of Destruction, the Trio of Danger, the white bunny, Majora and Shosa, a bunch of others and now Moro too.

Anyone feel like Goku learning and training in order to gain the state of the angels "Ultra Instinct" is similar to Neo's storyline in The Matrix? Especially with the current arc that's going on at the moment Moro is kinda like Agent smith

The manga has gone through some weird peaks and troughs in terms of sales:Miracles wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:52 pmSales has dropped.Lord Beerus wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:22 pm Volume 9 sold 340,000 copies.

Volume 11 sold 119,283 copies in its first week
Volume 1 - 310,005
Volume 2 - 284,337
Volume 3 - 236,720
Volume 4 - 267,417
Volume 5 - 400,000

Volume 9 - 340,000
Volume 10 - 196,204 (so far)
Volume 11 - 119,283 (so far)
It seem as though sales in general peaked with Volume 5, which was predominately the climax of the Future Trunks arc. Then there was a huge slump in sales afterwards, before picking up in Volume 8, which was were Ultra Instinct debuted.
And the first week sales are an interesting part to take into consideration:
Volume 1 - 29,995
Volume 2 - 56,947
Volume 3 - 92,114
Volume 4 - 150,889
Volume 5 - 121,293
Volume 6 - 154,983
Volume 7 - 142,820
Volume 8 - 154,544
Volume 10 - 90,557
Volume 11 - 119,283
The first week sales for Volume 10 were the worst since Volume 2. And Volume 11 didn't do that much better.

That's interesting. Reception for this arc seems to have been really good, so I'm surprised more people aren't picking it up. But then again, my judgement there is based on the Western side of the fandom. Do you think the lack of an anime is contributing towards comparitively less interest? Or maybe there is just a move online in general - although I am still surprised at the lack of interest for volume 10.Lord Beerus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 3:00 pmAnd the first week sales are an interesting part to take into consideration:Miracles wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:52 pmSales has dropped.Lord Beerus wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 11:22 pm Volume 9 sold 340,000 copies.

Do you have the first-week sales data for volume 9? That may be interesting, as that wraps up the ToP and introduces this new arc.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I think 3 issues may be behind the drop of sales:
1- The lack of anime or movie in the public eye for so long. DB is still around and being marketed, but nothing compared to a weekly anime or build up to a movie.
2- Online reading. A lot of people each year move to reading their books online, resulting in book sales going down.
3- The arc itself. Although it seems to be popular with Western fans, it may not be clicking with Japanese fans.

Do you think this puts the manga in danger of being cancelled, or is it too early to tell ?Lord Beerus wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 3:00 pmThe first week sales for Volume 10 were the worst since Volume 2. And Volume 11 didn't do that much better.
