This is Vegeta pulling a Luffy pose before OP was a thing:
Before someone talk about the angle, OP didn't come up with that either. But people will see what they want to see, so this is pointless.

It's not the pose and perspective. It's proportions and the subtleties of the style showing through.

I don't even know why people are getting so bent out of shape over this.

Re: Animation Comparisons - [Updated with #24]

Here's Episode #24:
Animation Supervisor:
Yukihiro Kitano & Akira Kano

Key Animators:
Kitano Yukihiro Fukushima Yasushi Yagi Genki Kasuga Kumiko Nagaki Tatsuhiro Sakai Hiroyuki Kosakai Tomoya Hirabayashi Takashi Uesugi Junji Ichino Maria Oshita Tomoyuki Kanetaka Rika Sato Tomoko Mura Shuntaro Tsukino Mua TAP

A spectacularly rushed episode. Kitano's last episode was #19, yet here he is again with #24. The artwork varies wildly throughout, and is likely due to Kitano and Kano having zero time to correct off-model drawings. I deliberately included similar shots from different parts of the episode to get this across. Really poor looking on the whole.

Tate is up next week. I expect something better than tonight's episode, but I feel it's going to suffer the same issues.

I saw people complaining that looks as bad as episode 5. Judging by that shots, its definitely a exaggeration.

I agree, it looks perfectly mediocre like the rest of Super does 90% of the time.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

You should definitely see it in motion. It's not pretty. I was very kind with those shots.

Yeah, not so great of an episode, art-wise. I'm normally not too much of a stickler for this kind of stuff, but it wasn't too great.

Especially Vegeta in this shot:

Is it just me or did GT have better animation... Is that due to the Toei animation staff in the '90s having more time to animate the episodes than they do now?

It was certainly on-model more often, but I can't think of a single instance of really good animation. At least Super has had small bits from Hayashi Yuuki, Tate Naoki, Ootsuka Ken, and Takahashi Yuuya.

Part of me wants to wait for a Bluray English Funimation Dub but that will never happen because I won't be able to wait :(...

Now that I finally have some time off for Christmas, I can finally proceed with removing the watermarks on the main post images. As let it be known I am not doing this to harass or annoy Ajay, I am doing this for the members who would want the same crystal clear images as Ajay has provided after the main post. Ajay is more than welcome to share the clean images himself if he wants, and he's just as welcome not to. I praise Ajay for his continued work on the Animation comparisons and enjoy every update he makes. That being said, it won't take much work on my part to remove said watermarks myself so I hope he understands what I'm doing. There is absolutely no rules or laws that should prevent me from doing this. While I certainly don't support stealing, I also don't comprehend people who try to claim credit for a project concerning another person's intellectual property, especially screenshots for a show. Say what you want about what I'm doing but I have had support to do this from people asking which is what drove me to finally do this. Expect the edits to be released before New Year.

In the meantime, just to prove to everyone that I can actually remove watermarks, here's a quick example I whipped up in a few minutes:

Image

Like I said, with access to HD recordings and a good eye to detail, I can remove any and all watermarks. It makes no sense to add watermarks to something that is available to the general public without said watermarks. If anyone else would like more detail on how I do this, feel free to shoot me a PM. Since this is so ridiculously easy to do, there is no reason I should withhold my techniques.

Let me save you the trouble. Here's all of the comparisons at their original resolution and without any watermarks.

Merry Christmas. Saved you a few hours cloning out tiny watermarks.

Episode 25:
Animation Supervisors:
Masahiro Shimanuki, Yoshito Narimatsu, and Makoto Tanoue

Key Animations:
Nashizawa Takashi Shimanuki Masahiro Tezuka Emi Morinaka Masaharu Nikaido Atsushi TAP Mazie J-Cube Sakuramoto Haru Noji Kiyoshi Lee Joo-hyon

I thought this was a Tate episode. Kinda surprised to see it's actually Shimanuki and a bunch of people pulled in for the sake of getting the episode finished. I guess that means that #26 is Tate, instead. The NEP sure looks like his work, so I imagine that's almost definitely true.

Part A did look pretty good. Just a shame they wasted it on all that talking. Goku's SSGSS hair without the aura seems too dark.

1st half looked pretty nice. 2nd half was shaky, but definitely a step up from Episode #24.

Looking forward to what Tate brings to the table on the next episode.

The timing is nothing special, but you can tell the person drawing those girls was quite happy.
