Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
Maybe the timing is done on an unfinished version of the episode and then they apply the subs to the finished version but some weird circumstance or a mistake that was never corrected lead to that episode of that show being uploaded in its incomplete state.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
I actually really like these corrected cuts of Tate's work. I do enjoy his usual stuff (though once in a while I feel he gets a bit too loose), but I really liked seeing Tate's animation with a slightly more detailed and tighter look. Those cuts of Vegeta vs. Black are some of the best looking bits of animation in the Super so far I feel.Ajay wrote:
Sure. Here's a compilation of almost all of his parts. I left out dialogue stuff and/or lengthy stills:

Heavily corrected, as you can see. Heck, Takeo Ide redraws the gut punch at the end. There are only a few instances where he pops up without correction. Considering how often the action jumps between animators, it makes sense. Even Higashide's art is nothing like his own. Manabe definitely made a conscious effort to maintain consistency between cuts.
Fancy that, an animation supervisor actually doing his job well?! I actually really like his corrections, for the most part. The character models don't wildly deviate, but everyone's idiosyncrasies are still on full display.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
Yeay, that's not normal, i don't think it ever happened, as far as i know. The studios aren't pressed to deliver episodes earlier than they already do because of simulcasts (that have a delay compared to the tv airing already). I was once told from someone directly involved with Crunchyroll that they often had like 2 hours to get an episode done, from translating to uploading, and that's why simulcast subs are rarely perfect. It really makes no difference when the upload can be finished moments before the episode is available.ArchedThunder wrote:I would imagine the translation is just based on the script and/or close captions. I wouldn't be surprised if that one episode of that show being different on Crunchyroll was a goof or something not normal.
The first simulcast episode of Super was one of the nicest looking and it only had 7 animators even, I don't think there is any reason to worry.

I'm guessing that shot is Ishikawa, looks nice. I wonder what that thing behind him is, is it supposed to be like an old school halo?
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
Reminds me of a Final Fantasy summon.
I have such high hopes for that episode. I will accept nothing less than face-melting levels of fantastic all around.
No pressure.

That is what I am hoping for too. Just something that is there to represent how Godly he has become. Just makes it appear better that it just being Zamasu. Or if it is an attack that comes from the halo I guess that be okay too.ArchedThunder wrote:I'm guessing that shot is Ishikawa, looks nice. Thinking about it, Zamasu is basically a Final Fantasy villain, lol.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
Interesting ear color choice. White ears are definitely something new. It could be a mistake though, because in #64 preview he had green ears.

His ears are green. I feel like you're mistaking that piece of hair behind them as his ear!Sodhi wrote:Interesting ear color choice. White ears are definitely something new. It could be a mistake though, because in #64 preview he had green ears.

I'm surprised that leaked image wasn't the Goku and Vegeta Fusion.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
Makes me wonder if he's fighting against Vegetto in that episode.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 63
I'm predicting that we get a Vegetto Zamasu fight in 65 with Tate and Ishikawa and then a Yamamuro episode with Shida for a climax in 66.

That would be neat!nite_jay wrote:... a Yamamuro episode with Shida for a climax in 66.

No, pairing Shida with Yamamuro would be a terrible choice, especially when the latter over filters Shida's work.
On the other note, I kind of wish Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru had supervised an episode at least once in this arc. His character designs would go well with most of the good key animators, especially with Tate and Shida.

I wouldn't mind as long as Yamamuro stays in his lane. (Although this might just be wishful thinking.)DragonBalllKaiHD wrote:No, pairing Shida with Yamamuro would be a terrible choice, especially when the latter over filters Shida's work.

Where is Nakatsuru? He has pretty much disappeared. Last, I remember he did some key animation for Super #1, but that's about it.
It would be good if Oonishi Ryou and Watanabe Koudai were to pop up sometime later. They can do some solid action animation, but oh well. Tiger Mask is lucky.
