Yes, one bad shot and an iffy shot in the NEP is totally enough to make this call.
By now I'd think people would realize that the NEPs very often don't represent the episodes very well and on top of it most of the NEP looked fine.

I'm glad this Special seems to be two episodes about Goku vs Jiren battle and not a lame unnecessary crossover with One Piece. It's not the right time for that and it also means they are 100% focused on this. One Piece also wins this way, because Luffy vs Sanji is something the fanbase has been eager to see. It's a win-win scenario for both.

Also, the lack of footage doesn't worry me. After 20+ episodes the arc already proved itself it is consistently good looking and it's not in the climax, which is being promoted and everyone wants to see, that the quality will drop. They wouldn't show 2 episodes in a week and promoted it like this if they weren't confident they can pull it off.

And as a matter of fact there were episodes in the RoF arc that looked worse than Episode 5, especially Goku vs. Freeza

The climax, for the record, so despite everything looks and moves better, one can't be 100% certain that the climax of ToP and new transformation are gonna be super remarkable, hopefully yes, that's what all expect

I will be happy if the animation and art is as good as episodes 94/95.

Episode 81 has corrections. An entire Kame Hame Ha cut was corrected, so that's a little bit surprising.

Considering that they've even been reusing cuts of animation that are nowhere near the quality of Shida's cuts, they're definitely going to be reusing his cut from the OP for this episode. There's really no reason not too especially because it's supposed to start the fight between Goku and Jiren

I doubt Shida would have confirmed his presence if he knew only his work on the OP will be in. Some time ago he said he was working on Super and had no idea where his work would have been used, if I remember correctly, but now he actually does. It might be that he will be extending his OP cut, though.

Whether they reused Shida's opening animation or not is likely not related to Shida's involvement in the "special".

One day I would like them to tell us what's the logic behind their corrections. They corrected Stewie Zeno who most people barely noticed and a entire kamehameha cut, but Scooby-Doo Beerus in episode 82 that everyone noticed something was wrong is still a thing...
