I also was tempted to say karasawa or shimanuki could be a nice replacement as CD, but after watching 114 one is compelled to say takahashi has to be the one, he got us right in the feels, the nostalgia, the perfection, if I always was resilient to change yamamuro was because the possibility of this charge falling on hands of the likes of tate, etc, but with takahashi is a big YES with the eyes closed.
I see 2 issues here though:
-Becoming a CD almost automatically makes him a missed chance to be an animator supervisor again, the fact that yamamuro hasn't taken that role after 100 episodes just confirms it, I mean a casual episode after other 20 wouldn't do damage and with all the time, even kitano would deliver something remarkable (in fact the only way kitano does something good is under yamamuro) but nothing.
-If yamamuro designs aren't animator friendly (as it were discussed in the early days of this thread), one can say the obvious about takahashi potential designs full of details, it would require more talent to make it right, and a little more time (not really relevant for me as Masunaga always made quality episodes in DBZ even in 5 weeks, but maybe for some people this is more important than talent)

Idk if that can be good for DBS or not but for now, making him a regular would be the best thing ever and hopefully all japanese fans are demanding it

Usually I just paste them to paint, then save, then upload to imgur and share the link.

They're taken from Fujitv website I believe by URL guessing. FWIW Daisuki then have them in HQ when episodes go live.

The title of the thread hasn't changed because he hasn't updated it since episode 100.

I hope today's episode don't suck in comparison to how beautiful the previous one was.

Is that why this thread has mostly been not very active? Never used discord but it looks like it is more chat based? Not sure it is my thing to be honest.

Compared to last week this episode kinda sucked. Art was mostly fine other than some very little shots, the animation was meh, nothing looked terrible but not really impressive too.
I thought overall it was serviceable, one of the worst episodes in the TOP but that's a good thing because even this episode was still alright.

There were some nice moments when it comes to Ki blasts, next episode seems like will have some of it too. I like the scene where Kefla powers up. One of the things I've always hated about the show is that the power ups and attacks lack impact; they usually don't animate the wind or debris, so it's always nice to see when they do.

Fight was horrendous though. Totally dull with the damn TATATATATA.

I usually don't mind Imamura's direction, but that was very not good. Animation seemed fairly middle of the road, but at least next week looks better. A big fat "meh" for #114, sadly.

Cool to see Yuya Takahashi doing 2nd KA. I hope that means he's a regular now.

Ken Otsuka's doing key animation next week. He tweeted that the NEP used two cuts from his work, so hopefully he's done a decent bit.

Side-note: it seems like Kiyoshi Hikawa's little intro thing was animated by Koji Nashizawa, so yeah... that's a thing.

Kind of a weak episode, but the movement effects in the first half of the episode were very well done.

That was some pretty conservative stuff. Lots of cutaways to the stands and they reused some cuts a couple of times. The animation itself was serviceable but definitely a step down after last weeks episode.

I really do hope that Yuya Takahashi is a regular now. That would make me so goddamn happy.

Next episode looks fantastic.

NEP has some beautiful looking effects, and as for this weak, I could spot Kitano in a few shots of Vegeta and Goku, man it was....not very pleasant to see.

-Episode 115-

After the amazing and gorgeous looking Takahashi's episode last week, we're back to reality this week. It was okay.

At least the writing was better.
It was about time to have C17 back and I'm glad Katopesla is still in. I was also gladly surprised to know two minutes passed instead of just one.

Next week it will be much better.

It was okay, nothing reallly impressive. I hope Takahashi returns in Goku vs. Jiren rematch.
