#65

Was rough, originally I said it was underrated but yeah I re-watching I didn't feel like the animation backed it up, very far from Tate's best work for sure.

#66

Stiff Shimanuki action aside, held up well, though not as mind blowing as when it aired. Though Shida's cut is a bit of a come down from #130, still very good though and his art is still on another level. I do love the atmosphere of this episode.

#67

Well... not the best way to continue off of #66 but I guess it's not the worst looking episode.

Overall Trunks arc is a very odd feeling actually, narratively the arc held up well for me in fact even better but technically not so much.

Because Bandai still think people give a shit about the Ginyu Force apparently. It's funny because the little ToP stuff they did release has all been popular enough to the point Bandai had to re-release them as seen above with ("Omen", #18 and Quietala all getting reprinted in October) so you'd think they'd be like "oh maybe we should release more new characters"... Then again it took the marketing department 3 years to realise that simultaneously marketing things alongside the show = success, so eh.

So, they have no idea what they are doing then. Am I correct?

Man, the merchandising sucks. I cringe so hard seeing characters that have absolutely nothing to do with each other beign marketed togheter, What's the point of doing it? Just put characters that make sense tematically, it's not that freaking hard, it's stupid to put SSB Vegeta, SS4 Goku, and flipping Burter on the same lineup. It's like the guys in charge never watched a DB episode

It is more like that they don't care what they put out as long as they just get money from it.

They're giving different stuff to different people, I'm not surprised at all.

There's no theme necessary, it has always been the "pump our easy money now" theme.

Akira is the right answer to merchandise, the guy's a genius, just change the color hair, and voilá, new merchandise.

DB has it easy, other anime-related competition are dying of envy.
DBS anime is a fan service series that delivers irrelevant dialogue, inconsistent writing, and lazy designs.

The DB manga never had so many mistakes, nor those were this constant.

Lol if you think that's bad this one takes the cake, Bandai announced they were doing a special anniversary UDM set for DBH sometime last year, okay cool whatever except DBS logo was still there... But Bandai's next set would be ToP related the month after okay cool EXCEPT THERE WAS STILL A DBH CHARACTER. Like we literally just got a DBH set and the 80+ ToP fighters/characters they couldn't think to add?

Bandai in a nutshell. (What's hilarious in hindsight is the ToP reprint set had Broly... oh Bandai)

Hopefully this is a 1 and done and we get the superior Yamamuro designs if the series returns.

No joke, this shit looks like someone saw that DB fighting game that came out earlier this year and thought we should just blatantly rip that off for a movie. Doesn't help that the villain this film is named after looks like dumb ass hell with those yoga pants on, and leopard print skirt around his waist. So If this the style going forward, I'm out.

In what way are they superior?
The modern Yam designs had an awful attention to detail that lead to the characters being unexpressive and dull. Definitely a stark contrast to the lively and energetic designs of the new movie which are just filled to the brim with possible kinetic movement.
