Predictions for the Future Trunks arc

In this thread give some predictions for the Future Trunks arc that starts on the 12th of June.

Write 7 predictions that you think will happen for the 7 Dragonballs and 3 wishes.

7 predictions:

1. Black Goku is not the only villain and there will also be other Black Z fighters such as Vegeta and Piccolo. They are not the main villain

2.Trunks is more powerful since the last time we saw him but does not get more powerful during the arc.

3. Earth gets destroyed sometime during this arc so we see planet Namek and the Namekian Dragonballs.

4. The final Villain is not defeated by a single person but by a team.

5. We see Champa, Vados and Hit get involved.

6. Whis and Beerus become useless at some point in the arc, in other words they are not able to do what they want.

7. Either Goku or Vegeta dies during the arc.

3 wishes:

1. Tien uses his Tri-beam very effectively
2. Piccolo becomes a Namekian God
3. Yamcha fights

Like Saint Seiya first arc, I see.
Personally I don't like this Black Goku idea for a Dragon Ball arc. We already had Turles in Tree of Might anyway.
Have more black versions of other characters and none of them being the main villain makes it much better. Still this concept is something I wasn't interested to get. But it's much better than having other tournament right away or revive again an old villain.

Freeza will most likely appear in this arc, as a flashback of when Trunks killed him or something. Freeza is everywhere nowadays.

Other wishes:

- Fights decently animated.
- Other Dragon Team members besides Goku and Vegeta, do something interesting.
- Bra finally being born.
- No Freeza or anyone from his race.
- Future Trunks not having SSB or any other God form.
- Gohan finally back to the game (doubt it gonna happen).
- Goten/Trunks/Marron finally grow up (not gonna happen).

Interactions between the two Trunks of both timelines, similar to that of Wrath of the Dragon.

Future Trunks seeing the SOn family all well and alive.

1. Future Trunks knows Super Saiyan 2. (I'm not sure if Toriyama's statement on SSJ forms counts for everyone or just for Goku and Vegeta.)
2. It's only been a couple of years (if that) since Trunks killed Future Cell.
3. Goku-Black isn't Goku.
4. Bulla won't be born, and Goten, Present Trunks, Pan and Marron won't grow up at all.
5. Future Trunks will be dumbfounded at Goku being alive. Cue flashback to the Buu saga.
6. Goku-Black is not the main villain of the arc.
7. There'll be shenanigans with Future Trunks and Present Trunks.

Those are my predictions. To be honest, I pulled 1, 2, 5 and 7 from my fanfic, but they're applicable here too.

They wil not really be self contained as they are all building up to the next tournament. Piccolo died and technically everyone on earth did.

I expect a lot of "Timeline Shock" humor. For instance, Future Trunks might be surprised that Kid Trunks hasn't hit a growth spurt yet, or that Goten exists, or that Gohan is less... stellar(?)... than he was against Cell.

Black Goku will probably be a character we'll see localized as "Dark Goku", in that he's just an evil Goku with an interesting origin story.

Some sort of Super Saiyan Blue explanation given to Future Trunks (and therefore the audience).

No new forms, maybe some new techniques, maybe Tenshinhan acts impressively to get his once-an-arc (if that) quota in.

My biggest bet is Trunks will have the Tarble role. He'll bring word of the next threat, and then join everyone else in the corner as Goku and Vegeta do everything. Beerus and Whis talk about food and probably don't get involved physically, as that'd likely end the conflict if they do.

My 7 wishes for the new arc:

1. I don't the Arc to try go the serious route, you can have tension and stakes without needing to be gritty and dark.
2. Interesting Character development for Future Trunks.
3. Goku Black being more than just an Evil Goku rehash like Tullece.
4. Give Goku some character development, something like what Vegeta got during the 6th & 7th universe Tournament Arc.
5. Make Goten and (present) Trunks somewhat important in this arc.
6. No more Vegeta spotlight, he was already taking something since Episode 2.
7. Give Gohan something to do.

1. Future Trunks shows off that he recently attained Super Saiyan 3, only to see Goku and Vegeta go Super Saiyan Blue.

2. Interactions between Future Trunks and Present Trunks are all but guaranteed. I really doubt they would pass up on that opportunity. It will be funny. I'm going to bet that Trunks and Goten are still kids in this arc.

3. The main villain is someone in the backdrop - AND someone totally new to the Dragon Ball series (i.e. not Demigra or Mira or Towa or Demigra or Mira)

4. A power level beyond Beerus and Whis (other than Zeno)

5. Universe 6 characters appear

6. Pan goes Super Saiyan 4 as a baby

I think Goku Black is from Future Trunks timeline. Someone mange to have Goku come back to life and made him evil. It can explain why Future Trunks is back. It would be stupid if he came back to visit and all of sudden that a new threat show up.

They wil not really be self contained as they are all building up to the next tournament. Piccolo died and technically everyone on earth did.

No relevant plot items are tied to other arcs. Each arc start on his own premise.
BoG: Beerus come in. Untied with previuos facts. It end as a tie.
RoF: Frieza get back. Untied with previous facts. Frieza go back in hell and Earth fully restored as it was.
U6: Champa come in. Untied with previous facts. They win, do a wish with no consequences, go back as it was.
Monaka arc (so far): a sweet selection of cute fillers, but no consequences (lik Goku find Monaka fake).
The real only "change" that happened are 2 cyan haired characters.

I'm not criticizing, I think is a good way to create arcs without risk of going out of control, like GT did sometime, or fall into contradiction.
So...
FT arc: Trunks come in. Untied with previous facts. They bash the evil one. Nothing change and they go back as it is now (and I really doubt any active role for Trunks, or time paradox, or any consequence to the storyline).

Black Goku isn't an evil Goku but is someone new who's using Goku's name after hearing about him defeating Freeza.

Trunks will either use the ritual to get Ssjg or is already a Ssjb.

The arc will overall be self contained and won't have much of an affect on future arcs.

At the end they'll use the super dragon balls to wish everyone in Trunks' timeline back to life.

Predictions:

• Future Trunks is stronger, but not on the same level as Goku or Vegeta
  For one reason or another the Gods are made unreachable (Zeno doesn't allow them to interfere)
  Jaco tries and fails to arrest Trunks in hilarious fashion.
  Black Goku isn't actually Goku.

Wishes:

• Vegeta and Goku are unable to come to Trunk's aid, forcing the other Z-fighters to pitch in.
  Future Trunks gets Gohan back into shape
  Future Pan (Probably impossible, but... I can dream)

It's impossible for Future Trunks to be a God. He doesn't have any other Saiyans left in his timeline to do the SSG ritual with. If Trunks could bring back the SSJ3 I think that would be nice, like I've seen in the Dragon Ball Heroes. But that would mean he totally surpassed present Gohan which would make me sad

- A surprised Trunks impressed how strong Goku and Vegeta got
- Something that limits Goku and Vegetas powers

It's impossible for Future Trunks to be a God. He doesn't have any other Saiyans left in his timeline to do the SSG ritual with.

The saiyans of the present could do the ritual with him, ALSO, Vegeta went blue without the ritual who's to say Trunks can't.
