As the TV Network celebrating its 70th year, GMA Network will set to air new animes this 2020 which most of them are from TOEI Animation. All new episodes of ONE PIECE and TORIKO plus the Philippine Free TV premiere of the much awaited Dragon Ball Super.

As per our sources, Dragon Ball Super is still under the process of dubbing with 67 episodes as of writing this. Aside from that, the production team are also putting a closed-caption (CC) feature for the benefit of deaf viewers. Closed-Caption feature is currently available and you may enable it on any Digital TV (ISDB-T) devices.

Dragon Ball Super premieres January 6, Weekdays at 8:25am, Saturday at 9:15am and Sunday at 7:50pm

Spacetoon? Are you shitting me?

Great! From the people who brought you no show dragons and Oozaru as separate beings comes another Macekre. Are they going to stop the show at 52 episodes again like they did with DB and Kai and almost did with Z (which later got another 52 episodes). Allah have mercy on our souls.

I wish someone other than Venus was allowed to make an Arabic dub of DB (and countless other anime)... and I don't even speak Arabic!

This is cool and all, but why not finish Kai first? The entirety of the cell and Buu saga were never dubbed in Z, so theoretically, Arab viewers have no idea what led up to the events of Super? Oh well.

Spacetoon teaming with Toei Animation to bring series to TV and video streaming platform.

Spacetoon is teaming up with Toei Animation to bring Dragon Ball Super to the MENA region.

The third season of the anime – which has already enjoyed significant success around Europe – is making its way to MENA through Spacetoon T.V with Arabic dubbing this month, which marks the 20th anniversary of Spacetoon.

In addition, all the episodes of this season will be premiering on its new video streaming platform – Spacetoon Go – then will be broadcasting on Spacetoon T.V channel.

Following on from this, the toy line is expected to hit shelves across the region from mid-2020, distributed by Dubai-based ToyPro.

“We are so proud to be the company which introduced this successful franchise for the first time years ago and to bring it back again to MENA through Spacetoon,” said Fayez Al Sabbagh, president of Spacetoon. “We are impressed by the toy line and the quality of the toys created by Bandai, and we are very excited to be part of launching this toy line into the MENA market in collaboration with ToyPro and deliver the toys to the hands of customers in 2020.”

Audiences in the Middle East and North Africa will soon experience the power of the Dragon Ball.

Spacetoon and Toei Animation inked a new deal to bring Dragon Ball Super to MENA. The series will air on TV and through the Spacetoon Go streaming platform ahead of the regional launch of Bandai‘s popular action figures in the region. The series will feature Arabic vocal dubbing and arrives as Spacetoon celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Spacetoon President Fayez Al Sabbagh notes that Spacetoon is the company that first introduced the Dragon Ball franchise to MENA, which makes the Dragon Ball Super TV and toy launch particularly exciting.

“We are impressed by the toy line and the quality of the toys created by Bandai,” Al Sabbagh says.

Bandai’s Dragon Ball Super collection will be imported and distributed in the MENA market by Dubai-based ToyPro.

"the third season of the anime" what the fuck. So is Super the "third season" of DB, with Z/Kai being the "second season"?

Of course, have all the high-quality toy lines you want... a consistent dub that doesn't cause major changes like only adapting 52 episodes a pop (DB and Kai... Z eventually got up to 104), no dragons (at first), oozaru being completely unrelated to saiyan biology etc need not apply -.-

Is there any evidence that Toei could have gotten a faithful dub in the Arab world that kept many of the concepts that Venus censored that wouldn't have been cancelled due to parent complaints? Even Spacetoon apparently has a fatwa on it despite the censorship Venus applies to the anime it dubbed.

Pretty much. From what I understand they never got passed the first 3rd of both DB and Z so I don't expect that to change with Super.

Thanks for the heads up. By the way, do you know of if RTCI dubbed The Final Chapters?

Also has the Greek dub progressed beyond episode 27?

Super is coming to Pakistan from June 11th! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNNRVPOyp7E

Not sure if it'll be dubbed into Urdu or not, but we'll see soon.

According to some videos, it was airing there since 2021 on Pop Pakistan with an English dub. Also, in the comments of the video you posted, it says that is gonna be in English even though this doesn't seem to me as an official account of Cartoon Network Pakistan.
