Oh, he totally is!

Not to get too off-topic, of course, but yes, that episode was great, and the man is walking hurricane of creative energy.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Gotta say, I love the spirit bomb callback in this episode’s dub

It was a goof about the number of gimmick fighters that had shown up in the tournament up to that point. It must have gone down well, he became a bit of a meme afterward. And then Toyotaro had to go and explain the joke in his version. People call him the next successor to Toriyama, do me a favour...

And speaking of inferior versions, what was up with Top's VA tonight? I had hopes for the big Destroyer scene, but why did he have to sound like he went and smoked 12 cigars? He sounded like edgelord Randy Savage. He should have been screaming "HOOOGAAN" when he charged Freeza at the end.

No comments about episodes the last month. Most people probably watched subbed already. I’m really enjoying it! Only 4 left in U7 vs Top and Jiren. So hard to wait!

It's probably more what other people have said, which is if there's nothing to complain about, a thread will have little to no new posts. So, the dub must be doing well, since no one's been "ree"ing here in a bit.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Yes you’re right. That’s usually the way it goes. I tape the episodes and watch them in the morning, but has anyone realized the next episode previews are not always shown?

I mean, Toonami usually edits together their own shorter ones with TOM narrating them, so that shouldn't surprise anyone.

Even though I think Nam's English voice is fine THAT would be a reason to pause for concern not Killa's because Caucasian's suffer from incomprehensible speech as well. With that said I can't wait to hear Town's voice actor again. English Tien was always good and nailed "Tri Beam" every time.
Bump

You still wanna hide behind this logic after the scandal that just happened?

What scandal?

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

From what little I know it apparently involves Sean and Sabat saying some controversial things in an outtake for DBS.

Dragon ball voice actors were making very inappropriate sound bites with company equipment.

If youre an English dub fan who doesnt want your childhood ruined, don’t listen to them

I believe that it was actually done during the early DBZ era.

Yes, exactly. You can tell since Sabat is still Mr. Popo and Guru, and he still does the Scott McNeil impression for Piccolo, placing this as early as 2000 or something.

Last I checked, doing bloopers off-set and keeping them private only to have them hacked and leaked by losers who never leave their rooms is pretty different from copying the music of famous artists and film composers and passing it off as your own.

Not even remotely. Kenji Yamamoto knowingly ripped off both older music & contemporary music, both regular songs & OSTs, for his soundtrack for Kai which lead to his termination & his soundtrack being replaced.
THIS is someone leaking from FUNimation's servers outtakes of jokes stuff that were never meant to be released from almost 2 decades ago in an attempt to get actors fired or the license stripped from FUNi because they hate that they fired Vic Mignogna. It's a completely different situation entirely.

So, the latest dub episode aired. Did anyone else feel like they might have been phoning it in a little, especially Schemmel? I dunno, it just felt....off.....

They still did a fantastic job, but it lacked energy. Maybe I was thinking too much.
Looking for these rare items/information:

Any information or recordings pertaining to Dragon Ball Z's syndicated run on WAWB
Any information regarding the stations that carried the origin Dragon Ball in the USA
Dragon Box (any deals would be nice)
Shonen Jumps with Dragon Ball in them

Haven’t seen it, but I do know that the comments section for the clips of the dub that get posted on YouTube won’t be pretty.

I don't want to think about that. :problem:
