90sDBZ not sure where this leaves you though, but I suspect you know what happened at the end of DBS? I think that should be okay.
I don't know all the details but I have seen enough spoilers to get the general idea of what happens with the ToP. Anyway it's great to know we're getting it in cinemas! :D I'll be sure to see it if I can find a screening within a reasonable distance. :)

Zavvi have a bunch of the Japan December movie figures up for pre order for Jan 15th, I'd recommend these ones if folks are interested:

Ultimate Soldiers Broly Anger

Masterlise SSGSS Goku

King Clustar SS Broly Full Power (listing says 18cm but it is really ~30cm)

Even Australia have found a network to air Super. Wow - Toei US really are the best, and now this pretty much proves Toei EU are selling it to the wrong demographic, which was always the case, but they don't care about the UK anyway, only mainland Europe.

The sooner we escape the clutches of Toei EU, the better.

Now the big question for the Australian broadcast is.. which dub? Uncut Funi? Edited Funi? Bang Zoom (heh)?

The fact that it's airing in Australia now after they've already been getting the home release might mean that all hope isn't lost for a UK TV deal either.

I can't imagine it being Bang Zoom. I'm pretty sure that dub only existed as a result of poor communication between the different Toei branches at the time.

It's the edited Funimation dub.

So Google Showtimes is telling me its out at Vue in Dublin on Jan 23rd and 24th (presumably this will be the subbed screening) but nothing on their website. Going to ask them to confirm it for me.

I always thought that Channel 4 would be a good 'home' for anime in the UK since they're known for their diverse programming.

I did see that Showcase are apparently holding screenings in select cinema locations. There's one in Liverpool (where I live) but it looks like Manchester may be my only option as it stands.

What's slightly weird to me is that there's two screenings for the MHA movie in the Odeon 5 minutes away from me next week.. but it looks like they have no plans to show the DB movie. Assumed that would've been the more popular choice but hey ho..

Turns out we're getting a completely different cover from the US for part 6.
Have to say its nice having Vegito on a cover after selling my DBZ Season 9 DVD and I was worried we'd get two green covers in a while so liking the orange.

Well, better late than never.

Dragon Ball Super will air on Sony Pictures TV's UK Kids network, Pop!.
Since Funimation acquired Manga UK, they now own the UK rights to the series.
Sony Pictures TV, who of course own Funimation, are airing the show on their Pop network, and I'd assume that Funimation may be able to stream these episodes after they have aired, similar to the deal they currently have with Toei US.

Now they have EVERY episode to air! This will cut the need for reruns. This is going to be so much FUN!

19 years ago I was rushing home from school to watch DBZ on Cartoon Network, and today I've rushed home from work to watch DBS on Pop. I guess it's true the more things change the more they stay the same.

Wow this is great news! :D I'd pretty much given up hope on a UK TV deal at this point. Now all we need is for them to air Kai TFC, which Kix never got around to airing.

I just had a thought though. What if this is the reason the UK home release has been delayed, and we have to wait for the broadcast to catch up like with Toonami in the US?

Yeah I was was cautiously optimistic for a while and started to give up, but this is great news as it should mean more kids can be exposed to the series and maybe even increase Blu-Ray sales. Regardless of censorship both of those are never a bad thing.
