Who is your favorite character in DBS and DBZ?

When I was young I always liked Vegeta because he was a Prince, but when I played Dragon Ball Tenkaichi 2 I saw Broly & tbh I didn't really like him or care about him at first but then my cousin said "you don't know him? he is the legendary super saiyan!" I was like "wait... what? another Saiyan besides Vegeta and Goku? why have I never seen him??" he replied "because he only appears in 3 DBZ movies." so he got my attention. I started doing some research about him but we didn't have much info about Broly before, but i've found some old picture where we see him in his base form and I started to like him and wanted to know more about him. I watched the second Broly movie and he looked so mysterious I didn't understand why he was so violent towards everyone so I kept doing my research and i've found a site in french where they explained Broly's story and I started to like him even more and was so excited to watch the other movies. And unfortunately i couldn't find the first movie on the internet, so i was just watching some AMVs 'till I find a site to watch the first movie... I even wanted to buy the first movie so I could finally watch it but never found a place to buy it at that time... heeeh, what a pain.

Now Kefla. I liked Kale when I first saw her, I thought she would act just like Broly (in his base form), but nope, she is completely different, its not a bad thing but I only liked Kale because she reminded me of Broly so when I saw her personality i was like "heeeh... nope, not my thing, not broly." so I was like w/e, not interested in her but I still like her. I also like Caulifla's design, her personality is ayt even though I don't really like it, but she is ayt. So Kefla... her design looked weird at first but she reminded me of Kale (design wise), a little bit of Broly (with her green hair), with Caulifla's personality... we can say its a perfect mix of Caulifla/Kale/Broly so I ended up liking her. haha

Currently in this saga? Probably Goku. I'm also fond of Hit, Current Freeza, Goku Black, Beerus, Majin Boo, and Daimao. From this current saga, I like Jiren, Kale, Roh, and Dyspo.

Growing up with the series I always related to Gohan the most, so he's always been my favorite DBZ character.

In terms of Super, I've gotta say the best new character introduced in the new, revived Dragon Ball (BoG and beyond) is Beerus. Truly just a great character, and in BoG he was the absolute perfect example of a neutral character. Someone who isn't evil, but isn't good either. I hope that Beerus will always be stronger than Goku in order to keep him grounded in reality, although with UI now I'm not so sure...

It also helps that in Super, which usually has some really bad writing, Beerus is written excellently every single time he's on screen. All of his actions feel in character, all of his character development feels perfect, and seeing him slowly coming around to supporting the shit out of everyone on U7 and giving them all respect in the ToP arc is just so good to see for the character, especially since he's put in a situation where his life literally depends on their actions.

Shout out to my girl Caulifla for 2nd place though, absolutely everything a female Saiyan should be and more. If only the transformations would have been handled more carefully, she could have been an amazing character without controversy. Maybe the manga will do her more justice in this regard. Since we're getting U11 backstory I fully expect to see some backstory focus on Caulifla and Kale in the manga.

[Rebel Instinct]

DBZ: Future Trunks (used to be my top favorite, but Super has knocked him down the list several notches), Bardock, Videl, Perfect Cell, Pikkon, Tapion, Broly (specifically from movie 8 ), Super Janemba and Gogeta.

DBS: Hit, Future Mai and Cabba(?). I'm fond of Cabba, but I'm not sure if he's a favorite exactly. I used to love Frost before he was revealed to be evil.

I know it wasn't exactly asked for, but...

GT: Pan (you heard me), Ledgic, Super 17, Oceanus Shenron and Nuova Shenron.

The Great Priest because I'm a Hax Maniac and I love his arsenal of techniques related to like everything, from immediate traveling to summoning other people as he wishes. He's shrouded in total mystery but his design and personality and voice are all Top Tier.

#1 DBZ char: Piccolo
#1 Super char: Zamasu

In DBZ my favorite hero was easily Piccolo all throughout, even when he had so little to do in the Buu saga. DBZ would have sucked without him. Cell is my favorite villain and to this day I want more of him as an anti-villain, someone who constantly provides a thorn in the heroes sides but remains about as strong or stronger than them, kinda like what they're doing with Frieza now.

In DBS my favorite hero is probably #17, but we've still not seen enough of him to judge, plus I want to use a DBS original so I'll go with Hit or Beerus instead, two non-saiyan badasses. My favorite DBS villain is tougher to choose. It's a tie with a caveat. Zamasu may be the most compelling villain that Dragon Ball has ever had. He is easily the best, but Nozawa's performance as Goku Black deserves special recognition. I'll put it in Zamasu's favor [spoiler]since he is Goku Black[/spoiler].
