No, it's totally legit to be concerned about retreading moments from the previous movie. I'm apprehensive about the control subplot playing out in the same way, and for Broly's character to ultimately be the same. Wouldn't be much point in a reboot if it just played out in the same way.

Considering some here are obsessed with canon, the reboot is only needed to fix Broly on Super timeline and nothing else. So don't expect a well thought villain this time, we could had a smarter Freeza in RoF, but we didn't.

Yeah, that's the major worry I constantly have in the back of my mind. Rebooting Broly's character won't matter for anything if they just follow the exact same path as the previous Broly movies.

I am in the (I think) small camp of people who want to see SSGSSE in the movie as well...

With him getting SsjG I don't think Evolution will be involved but hopefully it's addressed. A simple line like "I managed to train Blue in order not to strain my muscles again" would be enough.

I hope you're wrong. I don't give a shit about SSG I want to see Royal Blue Vegeta.(No this isn't the real name but I still love it)

What if, and this is a big what if, what if the saiyans are actually form u6 and the ones we know from u7 left along time ago somehow and ended up in u7 ? or what if it's the opposite and the u6 saiyans were the ones who left u7 ?

This looks very lazy and uninspired which this fan-base seems to love.

Yeah I'm thinking SSGSSE won't be in the movie either so I won't get my hopes up... but I'll still pull for it.

I'm so, so angry and saddened that from the looks of things Gohan and the rest of the supportive cast are probably gonna be small cameos. My hype for the new movie is pretty much dead, which sucks since I was beyond excited when it got announced.

Yeah, the animation is amazing, but without my favourite characters, I just don't care. This was one of the only big chances I could've saw Gohan, Krillin, Tien, etc. With amazing new designs and animation ( We haven't seen that for a loooooong time ), and it's not happening. Sweet, most likely going to have to wait another 2 years for the hope that they MIGHT appear again.

Gohan, Tien and Krillin are too weak to deal with Broly... I mean they would be pretty much useless anyway.

It was a nice surprise to see it dubbed this early. I wish we got to see Vegeta (who thankfully isn't crying like a bi*ch as he did in M8) use SsjG for a second or 2.

I really hope they keep this style for the anime once it returns.

The most intriguing shot to me:

Paragus and a random Saiyan finding Broly's old pod on a ruined planet. Checking inside confirms that it was Broly's, and that he may be using it as his bed. I really do feel that Broly is essentially Goku if he wasn't found right away as a child. Broly became a savage, forced to hunt and kill since infancy. Paragus only comes upon the child Broly who, perhaps, kills Paragus' companion and wounds Paragus, giving him that scar. Paragus is only barely able to calm him down and get Broly to recognize him. But only barely. Or had a control collar with him, normally used for slaves, and latched it onto Broly in order to stop him from killing his own father.

We didn't get Vegeta crying at M8, man... Pretty sure you're confusing with M12

That scene has to be a flashback it looks like Paragus but his hair isn't gray. I have no idea what they are doing but it pretty much has to be a flashback.

By the looks of it he and everyone else will be crying tears of joy once Broly's dead.

If UI isn't part of this then he and Freeza will have to be as Goku won't be able to take that...thing on alone.
