This would also finally bring Gine into the anime canon in the same way Jaco was with Resurrection 'F'. Its a random guess, but i dont want to miss out on guessing this. I like the idea of Goku and Broly being brothers because it would add a whole new layer to Broly as well as DB itself. Also lets remember goku and broly were born on the same day (i think) in the original movie so what if this version of Broly is Gokus fraternal twin brother? Its not gonna happen though because toriyama keeps things simple.
You (uh wow) do realize if there both born from the same mother on the same day they'd be twins and it would be impossible for them to just be half brothers right? And yet I still like the the thought
(My bad just reread the whole post the thought still entertains me though )

Actually there is a very very small chance that 2 zygotes get fertilized by two different sperms, resulting in twins (they are not normal twins then obviously as they do not originate from one egg that seperates) where one has one father and another one has the other. It is very very rare but it is possible. See heteropaternal superfecundation.

I’m in Australia and I’ll sure as hell wake up early to watch this trailer. Been dying to see some actual footage and some story details.
We don't know if the trailer 100% will be uploaded online. Bit risky to get up early?
I'm sure there'll be a shitty camcorder version up online soon after the trailer is revealed. That'll keep us company until we get a nice HD version later on.

I don’t think Gine would be the type to cheat on Bardock.

Do we even know enough about Gine as a character to know whether or not she’s likely to have been faithful?

Besides, being up at that time is part of the daily grind for some people anyway.

We know that it is rare for saiyans to marry and Bardock and Gine did so whe was likely madley in love with Bardock.

Bro this theory is wacky but I love it.
I don't, hope Gine and everything else about Minus stay the fucks out of the main series
Power levels are not just big numbers:
Spoiler:
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
I think the trailer will pop up after I've went to see Ant Man and the Wasp which will be in one hour and twenty minutes in my local movie theater center.
What a time to be alive though

Minus is canon whether you like it or not ! Sorry for you.
Luso Saiyan wrote:So the problem is not the color anymore? His apparel is typical of a Saiyan, there's literally nothing out of ordinary here. You don't have to like it, but let's not pretend it's a problem.
The colour is the main problem. That they also happen to have Broly wearing tights is just another one.
Luso Saiyan wrote:Minus is unfortunately not going away. It's part of Toriyama's story through not present in his original work.
Fixed for ya.

The only canon for me is the original manga and Super (:

Given that the Bardock OVA is also being shown next next to the original Broly movie and "Fusion reborn", there is a high chance Bardock will also make an appearance in this movie. And if he does, there's a 99% chance it's going to be his "Minus" incarnation.

It makes no sense to arbitrarily remove parts of Toriyama's work, because you don't like them. It's canon.
It also makes no sense to retcon Goku as a 3-4yr old upon arriving on Earth, in Saiyan Armor, when Toriyama's original work made it clear that Goku was found as a baby. Toriyama was essentially retconning his own work that didn't need retconning, and in fact just hurts it. People more see Minus as a thought experiment. A way of introducing and exploring the character of Goku's mother without necessarily being part of the official canon.
Really it's just a simple case of Toriyama being forgetful. Something he's admitted to many times.

My despair intensifies when you say things like this.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
How the Black Arc Should End (by Lightbing!):
Spoiler:
Absolute Zamasu(my name for their fusion) wins. He fulfils his utopia and dwells in his loneliness(x amount of time for this to happen). He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.
