That “unexplored territory” line from Toriyama about the visual aesthetic has me a little worried. I really hope it’s not a completely CG film.

It could be good though, like 'Lupin the third: the first' for example.

I don't know how well DB can translate to a 3D cinema film.
If the difference in quality between DBFighterZ and this hypothetical film is equal to the difference between Lupin III: Sorcerer King and Lupin III: The First, then we are golden.

He could possess Vegeta but move on to someone else for his "main" host.

Would be nice if the new film utilized all combatants of the Dragon Team and gave them something to do. Them taking on Freeza's army was one of the best parts of Resurrection F

Having this be a direct sequel to Broly makes the most sense to me. Just continue off of that movie’s ending with Goku training with Broly and Freeza wanting to have Broly under his control. They could also tie in another story... maybe a trip to Planet Sadala?... Pretty please?

Guys, he said one of the battles will feature an unexpected character, he's not talking about the main antagonist, so don't expect a major villian returning to be the films antagonist.

I'm expecting someone like Paikuhan or Hit to assist in battle.

My first thought when i read of an unexpected character was Uub.

I would love to see Uub, but they keep hinting at him and he just made an appearance in the Moro arc, so he wouldn't really be unexpected.

The anticipation is killing me! I saw the db_official_jp twitter account tweeted out about SSJ4 and thought that was the movie announcement until I saw "SHFiguarts". New movie making SSJ4 a reality? Doesn't need to be Goku who gets it. Why not give it to Gohan or Vegeta. Throwing a very wide curveball here though.

They will make the female Android 21 canon!

It's movie 21, so wouldn't it be funny if Android 21 was the main villain in it? She also fits with what Toriyama said. "Unexpected character". Everyone keeps saying Cooler, Cell, Moro, etc but nobody guessed 21 yet afaik.

Come to think of it, Cell was also considered Android 21 back in the old days!

I just rewatched the DB Legends opening and if the new movie does turn out to be completely CG, if it resembles that opening then I will stan this direction. It’s like Dragon Ball meets Spiderverse. Looks amazing.
