Why don't you just edit your previous post and put the link in there? There's really no need for the double posting. You could also link to the next episode preview on Fuji TV's website, which is much better quality than what you're putting on YouTube.

The next episode title is: "No Chance of Victory Against No. 19! Super Vegeta Arrives Late"
Guess that explains why Vegeta didn't show up at the end of the episode...

Doesn't gohan say something like "guess who's joined the super saiyan club" or something like that in the dub? It's stupid lines like that make me hate, that's right hate, the dub. Hopefully in the kai dub he'll say something more... damn I can't think of the word.

Regardless of the quality of the dub...when I first saw that scene I literally ran around the house screaming with excitement.

Great episode.

Surprised they went with the Goku about to die cliffhanger as opposed to the Vegeta shows up one.
But I suppose it makes it more suspenseful.

#20/Gero made some wacky faces when #19 was beating Goku, made me chuckle a bit.

This is where things start to get a little bit more exciting. The music was also nice in the second half.

The pacing was kind of good with this episode apart from the part at the end. Between Goku's failed kamehameha and Krillin throwing the Senzu was just too much time. Also... at least once footage from the fight was repeated. I know Z's a much bigger offender in that part of the series, but it really bugged me.

Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed myself. As far as I could see like maybe 3 redrawn shots? And the music was really good. Yeah, really liked how this was handled

The episode was really good! I got a bit pissed at how they overused some of the scenes though.
I mean, we had everyone's faces about five times and also had the animation of Goku beating #19 in the sky used for about 5 minutes as well.

Otherwise, I once again felt like watching a new anime entirely - this arc has a completely different feel than the rest and compared to the Z counterpart.
Next week's episode promises to be quite intriguing - a whole lot of Vegeta action.

I think the pacing in this episode was great, they keep getting better and better. Also loved the music

I think the pacing would of been even better had they ended the episode with Vegeta kicking 19 off Goku and declaring himself to be the one defeating him. That would of probably shaved off some of the unnecessary reaction shots from characters and repeating shots of Goku hitting 19, but other than that I can't really complain. The new music track for when Son started having his heart attack was really nice.

I agree. It was great in Z too, but it was more of a "oh no! Goku's in danger!" kind of mood, whereas here it feels much more emotional, and uses what I believe is another new song, whereas the track in Z had been used many times up until that point (not really overused though I think), although it was one of my absolute favorite Kikuchi tracks.

Indeed, I love it in the scene of Vegeta talking to his father. I may have issues with Z, but Kikuchi's score, more often than not, is not one of them. It's a shame Z is in mono, it doesn't do his score full justice.

I also agree with the feel of the scene in Kai. With this new track, Goku's heart attack is now a much more memorable moment.

Is it just me, or does #19 mention the Kaiô-ken when Gokû first transforms into a Super Saiyan? I don't own the Dragon Ball Z episode, so I haven't any subtitle to check...but this is certainly something I do not remember. Thoughts?

It's in the original, #19 mentions how it's not the Kaio Ken technique.
