Wakamoto continues with his revised stye for Imperfect Cell, some of the music was reused from the Freeza saga, they created new music in the Trunks saga and Z warriors training and are now not reusing it.....

I thought I didn't hear any new music this episode, shame.RazorX wrote:Wakamoto continues with his revised stye for Imperfect Cell, music was reused from the Freeza saga, they created new music in the Trunks saga and Z warriors training and are now not reusing it.....
I'm actually beginning to like Wakamoto's newly revised Cell voice, brings more of a creepy atmosphere to his lines of dialogue.

Wakamoto's a bit more consistent in this episode. It's a lot closer to his original voice, at least in terms of mannerisms. I heard one or two lines where he ran out of breath, though.

Damn this was an exposition heavy episode. Still there was no way around it.
The filler with the Artificial Humans driving and Gohan training, actually helped to break up the dialogue.
Wakamoto as Cell was still the highlight.
Looks like there is going to be some filler next episode with Kuririn fighting Cell.
I know it wasn't in the manga, but I don't remember it from the anime either!

I like both of the mannerisms he's used, though the old one a bit more. It's nice to see a some filler padding, though it would have been fine leaving out the Krillin thing next episode. I can honestly say, I'm not looking forward to this saga in Z Kai (Thanks Travis Willingham! >.>).

Not sure what you're talking about here. Wakamoto's performance in this episode was close to his original performance and he used this revised thing only in a few lines.RazorX wrote:Wakamoto continues with his revised stye for Imperfect Cell, some of the music was reused from the Freeza saga, they created new music in the Trunks saga and Z warriors training and are now not reusing it.....
They reused the music from episode 60 when Goku powered up.

Re: Kai Episode 70 (29 August 2010)
This is actually the first episode with Cell that I could watch in a decent quality so far, and I have to say that Cell's colour pallet is more appealing to the eye in DB Kai than it ever was in DBZ. Anyone with me (or against me) on this one?

- Annoying Chi Chi got cut some more, yay.
- Piccolo and Cell sound alike. As if they were trying to out-creep eachother.
Next episode is a must watch.
Re: Kai Episode 70 (29 August 2010)
Yep, Wakamoto's Cell has this coarseness which he didn't have in Z which with his delivery gives a distinct feeling to his voice for Cell's first form.mysteriousdbzgt wrote:I thought I didn't hear any new music this episode, shame.RazorX wrote:Wakamoto continues with his revised stye for Imperfect Cell, music was reused from the Freeza saga, they created new music in the Trunks saga and Z warriors training and are now not reusing it.....

Wakamoto sounds more coarse than his original Z performance. I like it though, he's giving a more sinister feel to it.Vino wrote:Not sure what you're talking about here. I had that awesome musical piece when Trunks handed King Cold his sword in mind, I would like Toei to reuse it.
Re: Kai Episode 70 (29 August 2010)
I don't mind how there using the filler so far, It's one of the reasons I find Cell more interesting in his first form. He's got a bad-ass 80's cult monster movie vibe about him. But yeah, anyone calling Kai a "cliff notes" version are clearly wrong, as Toei mainly takes out extended pans, staring, and plot contradicting filler. In other words, the bull shit.
So I'm glad Kururin will get his time to shine in 71, and even so, I'm sure it will be edited down to an exciting pace.

Brilliant. This is one of my favourite bits of filler.dan2026 wrote:Looks like there is going to be some filler next episode with Kuririn fighting Cell.

Gives Kuririn some time to shine.

It bothers me when they decide to keep Krillin and Tenshinhan attacking the Saibaimen in the OP. I agree if they keep the Goku VS Vegeta part (Even thought I still prefer that they changed it with the major battle at the corresponding arc).

Yeah, for sure. Everyone else seems to get a slice of the new Android arc pie, except for these two. It's like Toei's saying, "Hey, viewers! Androids! Cell! New Super Saiyans! Aaand...Krillin and Tenshinhan both attacked a Saibaiman that one time too.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:It bothers me when they decide to keep Krillin and Tenshinhan attacking the Saibaimen on the OP.

And another thing that doesn't bother but I'm sure it's bothering everyone who likes the character. It's Chaotzu!
He haven't make an appearance in the OPs since the third OP.

When the Z-Fighters gather together on the morning of the androids' arrival, Tenshinhan says that Chaozu didn't show because he "wasn't up to it." That's the precise moment in which he was virtually written out of the show.

They even cut Tenshinhan and Chaozu's reaction to Cell's power.
