Nice episode!. It was quite faithful to the manga there. Right, this finished about 5 minutes before the end of Z 283, so just over 8 episodes remain to fit into 6 of Kai, so 2 full episodes need to be cut (International).

A very pleasant episode, fully satisfied too. Music seems fine to me this time.

I thought that they redrew that scene. It looks very nice in my opinion.

Anyway, I thought it was a good episode. This episode used almost 2 chapters I believe. 5 Episodes left for the Japanese cut, and 6 for the International version. I'm guessing the International version will use Let It Burn in next episode or the episode after that. But we'll see it soon enough, I think.

One of the episodes that was closest to the manga. No credit to Toei, though, they're simply having less and less filler to cut as the end approaches.

New scene of them getting to Namek was good, though it left me wondering why they'd do that in the first place.

I thought there were 159 episodes of Kai

There are 167 episodes produced of Kai, but the Japanese trimmed some breathing room and a bit more filler, so yes, their version is 159.

Considering the amount of filler in the Boo arc of Kai, with an 8 episode difference, I can't even imagine what DID get cut in the international version

As I recall, the only edits exclusive to the Japanese cut were Super Buu's eyes and Babidi's blood. All the other edits were in the International version too so I think this one is no exception.

Yes, the first scene that was remastered (modernized) was Babidi taking over Vegeta through his Crystal Ball. I can't remember if there has been any more since.
As Darkblade1995 eluded to above, the only scenes exclusive to the Japanese version were Super Buu's eye correction and Babidi's blood.

I'll return tomorrow after I've watched the French Version, and confirm its presence.

Weren't Vegeta's gloves drawn on one scene of the goku vs. majin vegeta fight because the original version had regular hands instead of gloved ones

^Yes it was. It was during the time that Majin Buu was revived. But that wasn't modernized, just corrected. The only moderinzed effects I can remember were the Babibi taking over Vegeta scene and this scene. They also added some blur effects in a couple of episodes but nothing major.

^Awesome. But this just makes me wish that they also recolored Super Buu's eyes in the International version. But on the other hand, it's not going to bother me in the slightest.

Yes, it is a shame that they weren't able to do that. Perhaps FUNimation can?, though like yourself, it isn't that big of a deal for me.

Well, even though the Buu arc was done with a lower budget, I'm still glad that they took the effort to correct some things and even create new effects like this one. When I first heard that Kai would continue through the Buu arc but that it would be produced for the International market, I was a little afraid they would only just edit some episodes and call it a day. Not saying that they put a lot of effort in producing the Buu arc or Kai as a whole but still...
