I think they didn't because they tend to try to avoid retreading jokes, and there has already been a video of this on Youtube. I don't know when the original version was created, but it has been around a while.

I did it twice to Piccolo in Dragon Ball F (↓), though apparently the above vid did it first to Vegeta :/
