Nice, I guess I'll just stay with Sai then, I found chapter's 1 to 4 with good scans and tranlations.

It’s not entirely a reboot but him redrawing it with his now art style. A lot of its the same, some new, some redraws etc. Everything he done back then is getting redone except Dragon Collabo (DB x Dragon Quest). He said it was over 1000 pages and that he did not have the time or patience to redraw it. I have no idea if he will or not though.

Great news people!! We've translated and posted Bardock After volumes 5 and 6!!

Check them out on on Xeztin's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Dragon-Ball-Fa ... 236250861/
Someone asked me why I invest so much time into collecting Dragonball doujinshi.
I answered, "Because I don't see anyone else doing it".

I updated the opening post with all the new stories since I last logged in. Big thanks to TheDragonBallGuy75 for all his hard work translating and compiling those fan mangas.

By the way, new episode of Gast & Palz featuring the Goku Black saga :P!

I know it's been a while since this thing was last updated but I thought everyone here should know.

There's this one woman who's been in the Dragon Ball fan comic game for years, she used to go by the name "b-chan" but is now called "saiyan-b"

She collects everything across the board, SFW, NSFW, pairings, what-ifs, comedies etc and has been in doing this long enough to have amassed probably one of the most comprehensive collections of Dragon Ball fan comics I've ever seen.

If any of you have Tumblr accounts, be sure to check her out and give her a like and follow  http://saiyanb.tumblr.com

Be advised that she has a strong liking for pairings and nsfw stuff (there's no explicit stuff on her main blog though). She also has a password protected blog where she uploads more of her scans (sfw and nsfw) but you'll need to ask her for permission to join :)

Gokitalo wrote:I've got a few recommendations for the side stories section: in addition to Little Saiyalings, its author, CDC, did two Dragon Ball Z fan comic specials. One was called "Dragonball CDC #1: At the Beach," and it's got the same kind of humor from the Saiyalings strip, only the characters are portrayed in their normal states (instead of them all being kids). It's got a bit of heart, too, and refreshingly, gives the women of the series a chance to shine:
http://www.madcool.com/mc/comics/dragonball/b1.htm

Then there's "Dragonball CD #2, Christmas Surprise," which I think was later retitled, "Dragonball CDC - Tomako's Revenge." Although sadly unfinished, it's a very cool, movie-style story (in terms of continuity) that introduces a new villain and takes a plot point from the Saiyan Saga that Akira Toriyama forgot to tie up and uses it in a very clever way. I do hope CDC decides to one day come back and wrap it up (even though it has been many years), as there were a couple of interesting mysteries being set up:
http://www.madcool.com/mc/comics/dragonball/t1.htm
I'd like to make an update here! You can't see these comics on MadCool's site anymore--the link to the section they're in is there, but you get a 404 error-- but they're available in full on the Internet Archive! So without further ado, your new links:

Dragonball CDC #1: At the Beach
https://web.archive.org/web/20120826033 ... all/b1.htm

Dragonball CDC: Tomako's Revenge (I originally called it "Dragonball CD #2, Christmas Surprise," but that's not accurate, as the link includes Dragonball CDC #2-4, and issues #3 and #4 have different titles):
https://web.archive.org/web/20120607211 ... all/t1.htm

I emailed MadCool regarding what was going on with its DBZ section; hopefully the people who run the site will read it and bring it back online. For now, though, enjoy these new links!

Oh my God! Some one else finally posted!I was beginning to think this thread was dying out.

Well here's another one for you lovelies. I've begun collecting the DB Zeroverse scans that Marb released on Derek Padula's site ages ago, upscaling them, adding pages numbers, contents pages and the original covers and then finally releasing them on Xeztin's Facebook (we're a two man team now :D).

If anyone's interested, I've got the first 6 up so far, but it goes up to 15.

Ironically enough, it's in that link you quoted. It shouldn't be too far down, Dragon Ball Shippuden was a recent post of mine.

I added it to the list! It's the first DBS sequel on there as well. Fan comics have slowed down after DBS and Heroes began. I suppose when the official series is covering every common trope you come across in fanfiction then there's less for fans to work with. On the plus-side, this encourages fans to try and be more creative to avoid being accused of "copying" DBS or Heroes. We'll see what the future holds!

Isn't there a fan-manga adaptation of Dragon Ball GT, perhaps more than one? Is it good?

When I tried searching for it, I found DBGalaxyTouring on Amazon:

In 1996, Following the success and popularity of the “Dragon Ball Z” anime series, Toei Animation decided to extend the franchise beyond the original manga. The new anime series was titled “Dragon Ball GT”, with “GT” being short for “Grand Touring” or “Galaxy Touring”. In 1997, The Chinese “Xinjiang Youth Publishing House” made a 20-volume fanmanga series of “Dragon Ball GT”’s “Dark Dragon Ball” and “Baby” arcs. For this restored edition, every page has been cleaned by hand and translated to English..

The artwork looks good from what I could tell. You might be able to find it on TheDragonBallGuy75 or Xeztin facebook pages. They have much more than what's currently on the list.

While that's the one TenShinFan is most likely talking about, I remember seeing a post on Reddit about someone who was trying to make their own GT fan manga. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dragonballsupe ... bgt_manga/

There's also a Chinese continuation to DBGT Galaxy Touring I was introduced to by a friend (but that one has god awful art). All in all though, those are the only 3 DBGT fan manga I know of.

Yeah the art does look good and 20 volumes is huge for a fan manga! I suppose since it came out shortly after GT and only available in physical copies, someone has to buy, scan, and translate them. That would require more work and resources than other fan comics released online for free nowadays. It makes me wonder how many other lost fan comics from the 90's exist out there.

I don't think this one's on the list, but it's long overdue: Tablos' Dragon Ball AF Origins! Tablos is, of course, David Montiel Franco, the guy who created the infamous image people thought was Super Saiyan 5 Goku (but was actually David's original character called, you guessed it, Tablos). David finally started his own AF manga not long ago, and releases it in both English and Spanish. You could argue that it's the most "historically important" version of AF is, since that very first image David is probably what indirectly jumpstarted Toyble/Toyotarou's career :-P Here's the official page:
https://www.facebook.com/TablosDBAFO/

And here's the album page, where you can find all the chapters (and a lot more AF Origins art) easily:

Wow I've always wondered who created that old AF SSJ5 fanart! I also thought it was Goku. It's nice to see the one who started AF is now working on a new comic. I'll add these to the list.
