With how Goku's SSJ2 hair is, and how I'd draw Vegeta's (more spiky), I sorta followed that with Dawn's hair. A bit spikier, and it raises more since more Ki is being channeled. And the eyes overlapping with the hair is completely intentional; I do that all the time. It's based on some anime characters, namely James from Pokémon.
Perhaps exaggerated, but I'm pretty happy with how my style has developed over the years. Thanks for the thoughts!
EDIT: Forgot to address the headband; it's most likely a strong substance that resists that kind of power. And I'm saving something along those lines for another character. No spoilers, though. =P

I wasn't referring to the overlap. I'm familiar with that style choice. However, your eyes are a bit too large for your heads. They're even kinda big by chibi standards. That's what I meant.
As for the hair, all I'll point at is this: SSJ1 vs SSJ2 Teen Gohan, SSJ1 vs SSJ2 Future Trunks (manga version). Longer, less spiky hair means more drastic changes. But this is all a matter of personal taste. I like my SSJ2s with a bit more impact, others don't. That's fine.
