Yeah, I kinda got sidetracked when I was looking for an SD card to copy this and next thing I know I'm days late! lol

I tried to erase some of the "drawing skeleton" I made, but its still visible. Since I've made this, I have been practicing with the same structure you gave me, so I have gotten marginally better at this, especially with the proportions.

What would you (or anyone for that matter) recommend an amutuer artist like my self purchase to get started?

Also, I added a few things like gloves, a different belt and a kanji. No real reason other than to spice things up. :)

Looks good! Something to remember about DBZ proportions is that, once they hit the "preteen" age and beyond, the characters start to have shorter torsos and longer legs. That's how Toriyama usually draws them, and even once you start to adopt your own style, I've found the characters still look a little odd anyway unless they have that unique torso-to-legs proportion.

Practice makes perfect! If you have access to the manga, copying from it can help you get the hang of those proportions and details. If you do that a lot, then it'll be easier to imitate them and draw them from memory when you draw stuff free-hand later.

Pencils, erasers, and some nice bold, well-flowing black pens.

Thanks for the feed back! :) I see what you mean on the torso/legs proportion issue. I'll most likely try to get my hands on some manga volumes, a little bit from era, so I can practice on multiple style (round vs. sharp edge).

I want to be a part of their team, even if I don't know how to paddle or swim.

Added a couple of new things on my DB tumblr. (Good) Lunch and Tenshinhan. They're hugging! (A special kind of hugging).

And Videl as a demon/oni from DB hell. I had a request to draw Videl as a sexy devil and this was the first thing that came to mind.

Didn't feel the need to censor this one since there's no actual nudity. Just under boob.

Its funny to think that there was thread a couple a days ago saying Videl had a small rack, then these pop up! :P

Both are awesome, and actually really original as far as I know. Also diggin' the Chibi angel Gohan!

So, here's the protagonist of my fanfic. I'd post it in the thread, but I don't want to bump it without a chapter update, which is probably a couple of weeks off.

And I owe Kaboom a lot of credit for this, considering I had his tutorial on the screen for all four hours it took to draw this.

This is just a quick sketch of Pikkon vs Janemba. I'm still trying to get used to using a wacom tablet again. I got lazy with the backgrounds and half-assed it, but I think the characters came out okay. This only took me about 45 minutes.
